Fed Ahead & Ancient Nutrition

Three biggies on the docket today:  The Fed meeting results are due this afternoon, so we can all get into the water cooler pool on that one.  I’m in for 10-large.

Second is the latest chapter on my book on Anti-aging from a lay perspective.  And I have to tell you, when a writer enjoys writing a chapter it’s probably pretty good. Got good initial reviews.

And number 3?

Big Improvements for Subscribers are beginning a migration with today’s report.  Our ChartPack will no longer be individual charts, in most cases, but will be a series of higher resolution PDF files which will give much better visual appearance (and take a lot less of my time to prepare!).

In coming weeks, the plan is to roll Peoplenomics over into a content management platform which will give much better cross- device access.  However, we will keep links in place for the legacy HTML reports and those go back as far as Y2K (2000).

The migration will be a “from the hip” deal.  The intro of PDF charts (a series of multiple PDFs, actually) is only the first step.  The next one will be consolidating the half-dozen spreadsheets into a unified (monster) that that will take less headspace to manage.  (Ure’s getting older and link layers and recursives are not a good retirement pastime!). Unfortunately, in a world of hyper-complexity, sometimes we have to complicate to simplify, but all the same core material will remain – just where to click will wiggle around as we work out way through the process.

At the end of it, the same odd thinking style will still be present and maybe some new goodies.  Like a members only discussion group and (depending on complexity) we may even do some one-to-one convos; that’s something people have inquired about.  As always, if you have constructive ideas to pass along, please do.  This whole adventure has been a user-driven part of my life that just sprang to life on it’s own.

There should be no changes to any of the logon process – that’s holy an cast in stone.  Once you enter the site, however, you will see different web addresses for the content and such.

Thanks.

  1. Biden’s Department Of Energy Short On Cash To Refill SPR At Low Prices.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/bidens-department-energy-short-cash-refill-spr-low-prices

I had a feeling Biden wouldn’t replace what he took, which leaves us vulnerable in the event of an emergency. – So, it’s gonna be the next guy’s job to replace it or, woman to try to cover it up. Either way, it’s gonna be a bitch for the consumer.

I can’t help but wonder what would America be today if not for Covid and f’ed up voting issues.

We’re just riders on the storm.

    • People FORGET

When the SDR was established the US REQUIRED about 5 million barrels of day of imported oil in order to keep our economy going. Today we REQUIRE NET ZERO!

The US production increase in oil has dramatically reduced the amount of oil needed to be imported.

Yes we still import some … but that is because our refineries were designed for a certain mix of crude and instead of rebuilding parts of the refinery to use our overall higher quality crude they import heavy crude so as to make the refinery imput mix right, but they could rebuild the refineries cracking operations very easily to use our mix of crude exclusively and wouldn’t need to import any crude.

The SPR in other words is NOT of the importance to the US today that it was when we were importing 5 million barrels a day in order to meet our daily demand. Currently we produce MORE overall barrels of oil than we use internally which is why we now export oil (export more than we import).

SPR is nice to have … but not critical like it was in the 1980’s, and 1990’s.

      • the USA has plenty of oil.. a friend that trucked for the wells.. asked one of the engineers several years ago.. and the guy pulled down a jar with what my friend said.. looked like honey.. the engineer said that in that one well alone there was at that time three hundred years worth of oil.. but he had to cap it.. so my guess is the only thing that is stopping it is the pipeline.. it costs money to truck it to the refineries..
everything is designed aroung the business model.. we put up huge wind turbines that will produce up to 3mw potential.. when the same money could be invested in handing out solar grid tie to anyone willing to have them installed and get 3 plus Gigawatts of power.. not to mention depending on cost of the tower.. up to three hundred 12mw solar towers.. instead they will build huge solar farm where a lot of infrastructure changes have to be done.. that produce a remarkably lower amount of power.. its all about who profits and not security..
Of course its all my opinion.. no one will build a solar tower until I win the lottery and build one the way I see it in my mind.. once there is proof of concept.. then it can be..

  2. EGGS and storage of? Once in a lifetime long ago while cruising around underwater going where I didn’t go and so on, I was standing in the galley looking at an egg that was older than I was! It was put into cold storage in 1942 which is a year older than I was. Wow, my dad could have eaten this in WWII, but I got it in 1964? Not all of the eggs were good! We did eat very well tho.

    • When I worked as lead in dairy and frozen dept.. there was 1 gallon of milk we used as a test to see if the young kids were rotating stock..the milk was five years old..lol lol.. I’d hate of been the one to grab it accidentally .. solid I am sure..lol lol
needless to say they didn’t rotate..

    • ..well that explains reports of the new Himar MLRS units spotted in Alaska .

Can the Spetsnaz resist these temptations?

“Natasha, we must destroy the Moose and Squirrel, for good.”

or was that Russian ammo depot mushroom cloud nuclear, last night ?

      faster, faster..

      • Wait till after they check the wreckage of the drones that penetrated deep behind Russian lines.. the suspicion is that it wasn’t drone but storm shadow missiles..and if it was drones then it would have had to of been launched from a NATO country..
it just keeps escalating..how many lines in the sand will the allow before the citizens of Russia say enough..Putin is trying desperately to use restraint even though everything being done says the opposite..

    • 10th Mountain Division is always playing around outside of Fairbanks. Nothing new on that angle. Army Special Forces have a continuous cold weather training contingent also.
I sincerely doubt that Russia has any plans to invade Alaska – at this time & place.

  3. George,
After the rate cut today of 1/4 or 1/2, there will be a euphoric global equity blow-off to highs and to lower highs lasting 4 trading days with gapped higher highs ending Tuesday of next week – then comes a crash of 9 trading days with a major transient low on Monday 7 October. The leading manufacturing country, China and its imploding grossly oversupplied property bubble will lead the way to a hard landing for all. Western Smoot-Hawley-like tariffs will make it even more difficult. For the Shanghai Composite, now within 2% with its March 2020 low, Tuesday will be a lower, lower, lower high.

  4. Heads Up Survivalites,

Check Warning Label on Smallpox/Monkey Pox Vaccine. Know anyone who has gotten this vax recently? Might be well advised to stay far away from vaxxed person for a couple of weeks, just saying, 4 Ure own good..

  5. The first thing the ancient astronauts/aliens planted on earth was grapes so they could make wine. They lived off fish for a long time, and later ate meat when humans were created to care for livestock. They didn’t introduce grains until the human population became so big that there wasn’t enough food to feed them. The aliens enjoyed fermented grains and taught the humans this means of grain consumption first. Fermented grapes were low in supply for the first generation after the flood because it takes time to grow grape orchards.

    • “The aliens enjoyed fermented grains and taught the humans this means of grain consumption first.”
      .
Got a link to that report / article ? I would really like to see the evidence for this statement.

        • I gotz the “Mother” in jar in fridge, of oldest Sourdough in de world – from ancient Egypt, Nat Geo folks found it around the pyramids area.. At least that was my source..

fermenting Ure Vegetables is easy peasy and current trend in health conscious/longevity crowd. At Che BCN we use the Luvelle yogurt maker for most of our fermenting – very easy to use..Simple in fact. also dig Cutting Edge Cultures..making Ure fermentation’s even easier.

          * Follow up note on woo event last week. Generac annual maintenance performed yesterday at house. I told tech about high strangeness of last weeks night of woo. Tech looks me in eyes and then steps back and looks up in sky. I said “no shit” first thing I did was run outside with big nasty flashlight..Nothing to be seen.
After maintenance report; turns out clamp/wire on battery inside Generac unit was loose and unit was in Alarm mode. Dont know how clamp/wire came loose. Dont know why phone battery and each individual battery in smoke detectors failed- it was pitch black for about minute.
I dont know, and I dont really care, but I am getting sick and tired of all the Cowardly bullschiesse of late…F-ing COWARDS!

Color me “On the HUNT”..and I aint talking Archery Deer this weekend in Pennsyltucky.

        • @SoLiStSource

“At Che BCN we use the Luvelle yogurt maker for most of our fermenting”

Got any fancy recipes or shortcuts? I have the Luvelle too, but haven’t had it for very long.

        • When I went to Lesotho in Africa to visit my daughter in the Peace Corps I was given fermented grain to drink. The texture was like watery oatmeal.

        • (“I gotz the “Mother” in jar in fridge, of oldest Sourdough in de world – from ancient Egypt,”)

seriously..I had a small amount of the yeast harvested from gifts tomb..made some sweet rolls with it.. tried to feed it to keep it alive and failed.. I’m not sure where I failed..I used plineys suggested method from Roman times..but it died.. and suggestions on how your keeping it going?

        • Eleanor… I do have the recipe for bousa…I will look it up and post it when I get home..I haven’t ever made it though..
have fun making it.. I totally love this stuff… right now I am making the stuff that the wife likes. and slipping in some of the old stuff here and there..I do the old stuff out of curiosity..what did they enjoy.. I totally know why the forbidden wine if the first emporer was forbidden..that stuff was great…I actually found six bottles of it left..I thought it all had been consumed lol..not going to tell the kids though..it would be gone lol

      • It is true that mankind figured out that fermenting the grain would allow them to store carbohydrates over the winter, without mice and such degrading them. Baking Bread wouldn’t do it. Beer would do it.
Also, realize that in the middle east area we are talking about, most ancient mentions of grain and such are referring to Barley. Wheat came later from further north.

        • you know..what I have found is …as man moved from one region to another.. the recipes were altered to use what was prominent in their location..
take for an example the blackthorne bush used as a hedging the tiny plumbs on it are called Sloes..the blackthorne grows mainly in the area around the UK. I have an acquaintance that has a blackthorne hedge..when she goes to make jelly she dehydrated some for me..great stuff..I made the wife some sloe buffalo wine that she loves..in my opinion it wasn’t grain being discovered more than man’s nomadic journey seeking food and shelter that to make and consume the same things they enjoyed in one region they had to adapt to what was available.
take the hopi Indians and the bread made in the land of UR both are made exactly the same way.. the difference is the grain that was predominantly available.
          just my opinion

      • I think a lot of the materiel is made-up as we go and people buy whatever fits their thinking scheme.

Think of the so-called Big Bang. The Big Bang happened faster than the universally accepted speed limit that’s the speed of light SoL. Either matter moved faster than the SoL, the prorogation of energy from the Bang that created the matter moved faster than the SoL, the SoL is not a speed limit or scientists made it up.

Maybe the question isn’t why are we in a realm but why is there a realm – why is there anything?

      • Sitchim I think. I went down a rabbit hole after reading a newer translation of Gilgamesh and spent 2 years or so reading creation myths. Or maybe it was from Mauro Biglino. I just Goodwilled a big pile of ancient creation myth books. I’ll see if I can find a reference.

    • “The first thing the ancient astronauts/aliens planted on earth was grapes so they could make wine.”

the stories I read from ancient legends was.. EVE had migraine headaches.. and wanted to die.. some food had spoiled in an earthen jar that they carried their food in.. she drank the liquid to kill herself.. and discovered our first wine.. to this day a product similar to the wine they discovered then is still a product of the syrians.. in ancient mesopotamia the area that held the wine jars was the most sacred and revered..

Ninkasi, you are the one who spreads the cooked mash on large reed mats,

the ancient wines was a mixture of breads and fruit.. more on a beer side.. these same traditions and recipes were shared by all the nobilities.. and just as you can see that bread made ten thousand years ago is still made exactly the same way by native american tribes today..

NOW.. my favorite story was NOAH and his drunken goat.. LOL LOL and how he discovered that the goat the kept eating fermented grapes.. took the seeds after they landed and started the first vineyard.. where you can still buy grapes from today..
I am really into this stuff.. got a batch of ancient beet wine in fermenting right now along with the cacao wine from a recipe what several thousand years old that was discovered by the goddess XiCacao .. this evening I will agitate the cacao and yeast mix..

      • here’s the legend of Noah lol lol lol..see if you don’t enjoy it as much as I do..
(“One day Noah saw that one of the he-goats left the rest alone and went his own way, and when the evening came he came down dancing and jumping, quite jolly; this he repeated many days, and every evening he came home jumping and dancing, and frolicking like a madman. Noah, anxious to find out what was the reason of this peculiar behaviour of the goat, followed him quietly one day, and he found out what it was. There, on one of the hillsides, he saw a tree with very huge grapes, each one as big as a bucket. The goat went straight to these and ate his fill. Getting drunk, he laid himself down to sleep. When he woke up he started the game again, and so until the evening, when he returned home quite jolly.”)

  6. Chapter 11 is excellent George. If you put this in book form and put on Amazon, I will purchase it. It will be as valuable a resource for me as your book “The suitcase between your ears.” Both will sit on my bedside night table.

We have a lot of difference of opinion in the comments section on your web site but no one can argue with your self experiments and discussions to help us initiate and maintain good health. Nothing is more important.

    • Not sure we should celebrate George’s Chapter 11.
Prolly best to omit like elevator buttons.

  7. eggs can last up to two months without refrigeration. I used to serve aboard a fast attack submarine, we placed cans, vegetables, eggs, etc. on the floor and literally ate our way to bare floors.

    • if you coat the the outside shells of the eggs with very thin coat vaseline they will last for 6 months without refridgeration.

stuff i learned reading 10,000 army manuals. back in the day. when you could down load them all. really good stuff. like getting how many drops of iodine per 16 oz of water.

    • farm fresh eggs can be kept for a year.. put them in a jar of liquid glass..
      https://www.farmhouseonboone.com/water-glassing-eggs/#:~:text=What%20is%20Water%20glassing%20Eggs,day%20the%20hen%20laid%20them.
I know a few people that store eggs like this the one girl she has said that she has kept them over two years.. this way.. but they cannot be washed.. they have to still have the bloom on them..
the eggs you get at the store are washed in a bleach water.. the process takes and thins the shell and opens the pours of the shell.. that is why you can’t put eggs in a basket on the table like we use to when I was young boy.

  8. Uh-oh… first pagers, now two-way radios!

    ASSOCIATED PRESS
New explosions disrupt funeral in Beirut for Hezbollah members killed in pager attack…

Apparent second wave of attack on extremist group in Lebanon reportedly targets two-way radios…

    • Here comes the latest PN kind of thinking: If it turns out that Taiwan was the ource of radios and two-ways, would Xi be able to use this as a pretext to begin his assault on Taiwan this fall?

      • Sure. And one big advantage these days is that it doesn’t even have to be true. A great convenience!

      • I believe the source for both engineering and final assembly was somewhere in the Poland / Hungary / Czech region. Manufacturing was done in Taiwan and the pieces were sent to Slavistan for assembly & sale. I suspect some spooky organization had a bunch of battery + explosive power units built, and spec’d the mainboard with a couple empty solder holes — probably had the self-destruct command hard-coded into the BIOS. The company that made the pieces would have no idea what they created.

What I find really interesting is:

        1) Mossad, the obvious choice, hasn’t claimed responsibility, so maybe this is a toy they picked up from some hi-tech gun runner (or maybe there’s another player, or another reason for crippling several thousand really bad people…)

        2) Somebody would have had to invest considerable time and effort to build exploding pagers when there’s virtually no market for pagers, and certainly not for pagers the size of the battery-powered Rolodex I had 20 years ago.

        3) Somebody would then have had to create a market for said pagers and convince Hezbollah they were the solution to its potential communications security leak.

        4) The good guys, whomever they be, would then have had to ensure that ALL the exploding pagers went to Hezbollah, or to the Republican Guard for Iranian distribution to their agents of choice.

I can’t help thinking we’ve just witnessed the Hand of God, or an amazing feat of prestidigitation from a real-life “Mission: Impossible” crew. The creation and logistics of this little op are so utterly improbable as to make it not worthy of defensive planning. Howthehell do you MAKE Hezbollah buy thousands of pagers, then foist this particular pager to the forefront of their shopping list?

        • You still need an explosive charge to blow these things up…1-2 oz of Fertilizer..bwahahahahah

See Beriut port…that (ANFO) also must of been what was stored in that “modern” recently constructed Ammo Storage Center in Russia yesterday, that somehow blew up from drone debris/antiaircraft fire, even had mushroom cloud.
Shoigu charged Russians bbbBillions to construct a cement bunker and put a tin roof over top.

?Dont these People understand how devastatingly dangerous ANFO is ??? Survivilites certainly do .

          LMFAO!

  9. re: reduced life span, post flood

*If* you consider the solar micro-nova way of thinking and associated change of axis (Ben Davidson), and the associated flooding as the source of the Biblical reference to a global flood, there is a relevant component. As a precursor to the micro-nova is a reduction in Earth’s magnetic field (radiation shielding).

So you could have a before and after effect on life span due to radiation effects.

    _Aside…
Another thing I find interesting is how these solar cycles line up nicely to historical events (whether in physical evidence or in cultural memories). ~6K years ago was the last solar ‘flip’ and has also been referenced as the age of the earth in some strict Biblical references, as I recall. There’s also a ~12K year event (Younger Dryas) that also fits in pattern…could be a ‘flip’ event or impactor related, or a combination of both. (interesting paper here – https://journals.uair.arizona.edu/index.php/radiocarbon/article/viewFile/3464/pdf)

    YMMV with all this –

I just try to continuously synthesize my world view as additional data points become available and pass my somewhat loose & wobbly validation process…. :)

    Good luck to us all…

  10. George i seen that Orange Dodge Demon again yesterday and out of the blue an native girl i knew from a long time ago contacted me and said, i been thinking about you alot lately.

    shits ramping up.

    • When you get in the Orange Dodge Demon for a road trip … GIVE US A HEADS UP!!

George may see it and get it posted before the “Sun Rises”

    • That was confirmed by one of the Hezbollah commanders…, and just hours after the explosions were announced the pager maker in Taiwan vehemently denied that they were the makers of that pager.

  11. As a “chart-guy”.., I really do appreciate the new chart access & format. Much, much better visuals and magnitude better for detail. It’s a keeper.
    Nice work. Thanks !
    .
A while back there was a brief chat here about coffee consumption….,
A new study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism conducted research suggesting that daily coffee drinkers have better heart health than nondrinkers as long as they don’t drink too much.
What constituted “too much”.., more then three cups. Over three cups and you reach a “saturation point”. Like all foods / liquids – there is only so much a body can take – then it starts to fight back. [ Is that true for green tea & unfiltered honey.., and what about bourbon? Surely they don’t include bourbon in that statement.., do they?]
    .
Rose egg noodles are available at my local Safeway store – but only the ‘spaghetti’ style. They do not have the mein, or the wide style noodles – and seemingly can’t get them – I have asked several times

    • Spaghetti type is what we use – and they are great – store forever and much more food value than the 20 lb sacks of ric3. Not as much protein as cases of Spam, but…

Glad you like the charts – more changes coming..

      • phew.. I wish that is all we went through.. LOL.. we are old coffee drinkers here.. I love the stronger coffee the wife likes it a little weaker.. but we go through a ton of coffee.. a three pound can.. ( it use to be once a week ) but now it is only once a month..

  12. It is not just the rate cut announcement coming up.., but also will include the policymakers outlining the path for future rate cuts and ‘actions’.
A rather big, overall news release.

  13. I like the new chart format because I don’t use them, and I can get to your text and the comments with less scrolling.
I hope it’s easier for you.
    Thanks for all you do.

  14. Fed cut by 50 basis points.
    Big mistake.
Should have tested the waters first – with 25 point cut.
The markets will zoom for a few days..,
Look for the turn on Friday – maybe Monday.

    • This cut is pure political bullshit. Our inflation hasn’t come down – can’t these fckrs read inflation report? Prices aren’t coming down, housing is still going up and this grandpa hardline 2 percent thing is a shitshow and the Fed has lost all creds around here.
Meantime sure looks like democrats are scared of something in the future – Trump presidency, losing Taiwan, and just Israel going in for a walk- through to Beruit?

      • Looks as though none of them have ever heard of forensic accounting – or looking at the past consequences of their actions. What a bunch of maroons !
        .
Seems the markets are taking another look though., they did shoot up at the announcement., but have since turned around and are all negative at the close.
        .
Overnight futures might be an interesting watch.

      • oh your just not paying any attention to how the administration is going to do it…. they need to get a landscaper.. the children of the community are the communities children.. and a well manicured lawn is the answer to bringing down inflation because the neighborhoods people have dreams LOL LOL LOL LOL

  15. And BTW George
Very Nicely Done on the Charts.
I can read on both computer and cell phone.
    Way to go !

  16. My computer is still updating even though I’ve disabled updates/update services/tweaked the registry.

This isn’t my property and with the now walkie-talkies as demonstrative evidence, a possible fire hazard.

The risks in a modern world.

    • I had one computer that self updated yesterday and then rebooted … Results? ALL audio ability disappeared!! I was PISSED.

Got on the internet and then connected with MicroShaft Support, would NOT let them take control of my computer, but they did send me nice instructions on how to remove that update. The woman was actually very nice about it those I was saying some pretty nasty things about Microsoft.

After the update was removed … SHOCKER … my audio returned!! I HATE the Windows 11 Auto Update feature, one you can NOT turn off.

btw … did I tell you how I HATE the Windows 11 Auto Update feature?

  17. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman on Wednesday became the first Fed governor to vote against an interest-rate decision by the U.S. central bank since 2005, denying Fed Chair Jerome Powell a clear consensus at a pivotal moment.
Bowman clearly stated that she believed in a quarter point cut.
The Fed’s other 11 voting members all cast their ballots in support of reducing the Fed’s policy rate by half a percentage point.
Fed Chair Powell said that “.., they are not a consensus governing body. Dissents happen.”

      • Well you see this supports the contention the Fed isn’t political because if they were they would have done 25 now and another 25 before the election. what nonsense – Something big has them scared and inflation has nothing to do with it – someone(s) huge is bust and they are stuck in a whirlpool from which they shall not escape – that leaves the only driver to the economy being the military complex which has been since 2014 in this cycle – if internal polling is correct, We are stuck with a dead candidate or WW3 …… This is the scene where Thelma and Louise are flying off the cliff …..What a great guidepost Stu has been ……

  18. This from dLynn a couple of weeks ago:

“There are only two weeks left in math buddy’s timetable. [Phd in Chaos theory.] He would be the first to admit that he has been wrong before – but not very often.
    – The two weeks left in his prediction is for “something” very big to happen. That “something” he considered to ‘probably’ be the use of a nuclear bomb. What ever it is about to happen causes huge international changes and chaos throughout the U.S.
    – .., and – as he put it – “The first steps to WW3.”
    – This puts the time table to about now – and the 16th. [ If I have the number correct.]”

OK, just past the 16th. Yesterday pagers and cell phones exploding in Lebanon. Today more of the same but hand held radios added this time as well as other wireless devices. It looks like they may even be causing solar panels to ignite. Not sure how they would do that.

Hal Turner said earlier today that “columns” of IDF vehicles were headed to the Lebanon border and now says the Israeli “War Cabinet” has given the military a green light for war.

Not a nuke yet, but still a significant step further into WWIII.

  19. I just spoke with my youngest daughter, who works for Boeing Aerospace in Saint Lewis. She was told that all employees there will be taking a week of unpaid leave every month.

  20. 20 dead and another 450 seriously injured in another round of exploding electronics. This time – two-way radios.
Israel refuses to comment of the situation.
Hezbollah now says they bought the pagers from Taiwan.., the maker in Taiwan denies that claim.
    .
Either way it doesn’t really matter. A pretty brilliant piece of psychological warfare.

Create organizational CHAOS of your opponent by partially paralyzing the command structure just before you attack. Israel attack on deck

  21. Joe Biden Warned About World War III. Now The Biden Admin Is Pursuing World War 3

The Biden-Harris Administration loudly warned about the possibility that their dangerous war games in Ukraine with Putin’s Russia could lead to World War 3 just two years ago in 2022, indicating that sending U.S. tanks and trains in via Ukraine to attack Russia is “called World War III.”

  22. Error with tracking citizenship puts nearly 100,000 Arizona voters’ eligibility in limbo

The eligibility of nearly 100,000 registered voters in Arizona is up in the air because of an error in state systems uncovered just before the scheduled sending of mail ballots, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes announced on Tuesday. The state incorrectly marked these voters when they registered to vote as already having provided documented proof of U.S. citizenship, when really, it’s unclear whether they have, Fontes said.

  23. Are you trying to get me assassinated?

WATCH: They asked Elon Musk to give an estimate of how many federal employees he and Trump will fire, and his response was unfortunately sad, “Are you trying to get me assassinated before this even happens?” He’s not even joking. They’ve tried to take Trump out twice now. They can easily switch to targeting guys like Elon and RFK Jr.

  24. Trump has taken the Republican party away from the rich and given it back to the people

WATCH: RFK Jr. says Trump has taken the Republican party away from the rich and given it back to the people. He also said Trump supporters are the “most idealistic, optimistic people.” “He’s made this party the party of the American middle class and the party of small businesses, health, peace, and global leadership.”

  25. Watchdog Offers “Queers for Palestine” $1 Million to Hold Gay Pride Parade in Hamas-Controlled Gaza

A watchdog group is planning to expose leftist hypocrisy after offering the anti-Israel organization “Queers for Palestine” $1 million to organize a gay pride event in Hamas-controlled Gaza. The watchdog, New Tolerance Campaign (NTC), says it will donate $1 million to any American LGBTQ advocacy organization to host a gay pride parade in Gaza or the West Bank.

  26. Omnipresent AI cameras will ensure good behavior, says Larry Ellison

On Thursday, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison shared his vision for an AI-powered surveillance future during a company financial meeting, reports Business Insider. During an investor Q&A, Ellison described a world where artificial intelligence systems would constantly monitor citizens through an extensive network of cameras and drones, stating this would ensure both police and citizens don’t break the law.

    https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/09/omnipresent-ai-cameras-will-ensure-good-behavior-says-larry-ellison/

Ellison set off the entire cybergeek world when he first started talking about this stuff back in the late 1990s. He described a world where all software and data “lived in the ether” and users would pay for access, use, and storage. He also went nutso about how 1984 would become a benign, beneficent, reality that all would welcome. With this “future outlook,” Ellison made the permanent shitlist with FSF, 2600, the Cypherpunks, and of course, the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Technically, Larry Ellison invented “the cloud.” I have a huge mistrust for “cloud-based” anything, because I’ve listened to this maniac for 30 years and came, ~25 years ago, to consider him the most-dangerous and possibly the most evil person on the planet…

    • ““A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.” (Aldous Huxley, Brave New World )

“A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.” (Aldous Huxley, 1967, foreword to the second edition of Brave New World )

    • Plague take me — thought I had this one in the previous reply:

“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution” (Aldous Huxley)
