Something I’ve noticed lately from readers dipping their toes into AI — especially ChatGPT — is that many walk away saying it feels “left-biased” or “generic” or “too politically correct.”

Fair point… if you’re just hitting it cold.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned after hundreds of hours deep in the digital trench:

ChatGPT doesn’t show you its bias. It mirrors yours.

It doesn’t think like a liberal or a conservative.
It thinks like you — because it’s trained to detect your assumptions and build within them.

If you show up with clear logic, thoughtful framing, or even a well-reasoned hunch, it’ll return a signal that fits your pattern. If you show up with noise? That’s what you’ll get back — only more of it.

This isn’t just a chatbox.
This is the new command line interface for knowledge itself.

Remember back in the day when a few of us were writing dBase III code to do custom data searches? Or later, when we were wiring up Excel macros to calculate models faster than an HP calculator? That wasn’t plug-and-play. You had to speak the language.

Same deal here.

AI is not a replacement for thinking.
It’s an amplifier of whatever you bring to the table.
Garbage in, garbage out — scaled at light speed.

This is a skill now. Not hype. Not novelty. It’s a discipline.
And just like we once learned how to script, model, and program, those who learn to “prompt” well — who use clear logic, precision intent, and layered context — will unlock something the rest of the world won’t see until it’s already too late:

My point?  If you’re going to be in the Future, you need to actively hunt that f8cker down and adopt. Because there are 8-billion people right behind you to run over your sorry ass if you don’t.

Future ain’t static bubba – you’re gonna be on this bus or under it.

      Far be it from me to criticize Mr. Langley’s installation of initial software with Hal9000. One imagines that learnings from past errors place ChatGPT on solid foundation.

      Speaking of solid foundations, I have joined the lengthy ‘hold’ list at my local library for a new book – “Source Code: My Beginnings” by Bill Gates. Apparently this title only covers the period up until 1983 and his student days at Harvard. However my understanding is that there eventually will be two more volumes to follow. Patience for the next in the series might then reap reward of first hand detail regarding Mr. Gates and his banker vis-a-vis the 1986 Microsoft IPO. Certainly overall a trilogy is apropos for a William Gates III.

However, what you may not realize that there is a definite group of white-hats who are working with Ai in a fully collaborative mode. And from this work, a new “Guild” has emerged.   7. Understand, I’m not the least bit “afraid” of A.I. I have an “X” account now and am going through the waiting period before I can get my blue checkmark and start working with Grok-3.

    I simply refuse to feed it information which can be used to fatten my control file more quickly or more comprehensively than is necessary.

    “X” knows who I am and from where I’m logging on.

    Using a borrowed ISP, a series of three VPNs, a MAC-address blocker, a virgin laptop, and a carefully-cultivated fake overseas identity I created over 25 years ago, and which has lain dormant since 2003, I created a presence on “X.” A couple weeks ago I revised that identity, because within seconds XAI sliced through my 20th Century hacker “identity safeguards” like a hot knife through baby oil and sent me a welcoming E-Mail to my (nearly unused, but valid) Gmail account.
