TL;DR: The price of gold dropped back today, but sprang right back as it seems intent on rising. Could it beat $50K per ounce? We think so. Meanwhile CRE is scrambling and with the home stretch of a new book and great working weather, our focus moves to Peoplenomics….
No Government. So?
The Big Stuff of national importance – like Social Security, military paychecks, and what-not, is being sort of handled.
There are, government aside, three things you need to track to see where the future is pointing. Ready?
- Banking Analytics: Modifications to Commercial Real Estate Loans Rise From the St. Louis Fed.
- The mess in commercial real estate which sounds exactly what my consigliere is telling me as summed up by reader Stephen2.
- And how Amazon Prime Big Deal Days.
Now let’s triangulate, shall we? Macro, micro, consumer:
Triangulation Frame
-
Data Vertex — The Fed readout
Take the St. Louis Fed’s “Banking Analytics” showing a rise in CRE loan modifications as the top-down quant anchor. It’s the first derivative of stress: banks quietly re-papering loans instead of writing them off. -
Anecdotal Vertex — Stephen2
Use Stephen2’s field notes as confirmation bias or contradiction. If he’s reporting empty strip malls, rent concessions, or lenders suddenly “getting friendly,” you’ve got texture that makes the Fed line breathe. -
Behavioral Vertex — Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
Fold in consumer behavior. Heavy discount participation suggests the same deflationary pressure that’s forcing banks to “modify” rather than “foreclose.” Both are liquidity work-arounds—one at the retail counter, one in the loan book.
Synthesis (or Cause d’ Blues by year-end)
When all three points align—Fed data, local observation, and mass-market behavior—you can infer a shift from asset confidence to cash-flow triage. CRE lenders, small investors, and households are all improvising the same move: stretch payments, chase volume, postpone reality. Oh.
Repricing Gold?
OK, we are getting into the runaway part of Compounding Interest on the national debt. What would solve the problem? Reduce payments on US debt to one percent, but realize there’s a lot of “legacy debt” paper floating around so it will take a while (>5-years) for the lower rate to work through the system.
In the meantime, can the spendthrift abdicators of CONgress actually live within their obligations to “balance the budget?” You mean, like “Can the chimpanzees in the lab voluntary do self-rehab if we shovel blow into the cage?” Um…shouldn’t be hard to figure, right?
But we can pretend. (We always do…)
Been doing a lot of research on the difference between Gold and Silver versus all the other “made-up Money) [MuM] out there. Bitcoin – contrary to the Big Lie – is not a “store of wealth” because its ownership is neither 100 percent secure, nor it immune to “debt loading.” Yeah, yeah, stories aside. But I am still waiting for a (durable) answer to the question “When the mining stops, who keeps the lights on for clearing the Ledger?” Lots of “God shuffled his feet” pauses follow.
See, when comes down to it – with no mining income, the Ledger would need to raise money. Tax transactions (oops, there goes the “sell”) OR Government would have to get involved. Don’t look now, but we’re entering the hangover part of that, already.
Gold, on the other hand, is 100 percent possession. No levies on nothing. Which is how precious metals have a really long history of retained value.
“Ure a Gold Bug?”
Nope. I’m, a data-driven dude. Here’s today’s early futures data off FinViz.com:

Now, look at the H, see it?
Let me tell you a really short story. About 35-years ago, I was cleaned out in one of those “divorcing for dollars” deals. The million and several home went, savings, and here…child support on three (great) kids. Never skipped a bit.
How did I get back into seven figures of net worth? Two simple moves.
- Vow to never pay interest, but if you must, pay it off and hold everything free and clear, fee simple, and NEVER refi or HELOC or any of those other traps. Sure, you CAN pull money out – but if you do you risk “outliving your money” and you are burning any chances of the kids getting into the “generational wealth” game.
- Second move was to save money from work in media that appreciates (like rental real estate, just to the no debt goal above) OR in precious metals which “auto-adjust” to inflation.
Now, want to ask again if I am a “gold bug?” Or, do I just have a really firm grip on economic reality?
Obvious America has Lost It’s Grip
As we whine in our coffee, we think what is coming will be a Government grab. A major Crypto Con. The government will declare a New Money. Since only a fool would believe it (it’s a drunk promising to “dry out” at bedtime when out of hooch) there will be some role for gold.
No exchange fees and no one can “steal it away through levies, liens, and dilutions.
Walk with me – we’re going to roll through some numbers.
Using the current U.S. gold reserve of about 8,133.5 metric tonnes—roughly 261.5 million troy ounces—the math for a 40 percent backing of the $37.5 trillion federal debt goes like this. Forty percent of $37.5 trillion is $15 trillion. Divide that by 261.5 million ounces and you arrive at roughly $57,000 per ounce as the equilibrium price that would make gold equal to 40 percent of the national debt. Will enough people buy the balance in crypto? Depends on the drinking and spending posse on Capitol Hill, I suppose.
For perspective, a 30 percent backing would come out around $43,000 per ounce, 25 percent at $36,000, and 20 percent near $29,000. The numbers look absurd until you realize the debt pile has grown far faster than the ounces have; that’s the essence of compounding risk and why some economists whisper about a future “reset.”
$57,000 Gold? NO!
Realistically? I would think more like $20,000. Go much higher and Russia and China start having enough to “Buy the whole World.”
To grok this (so to speak) you need to remember that a “tonne” is a metric ton equal to 1,000 kilograms (about 2,204.6 pounds), while a “ton” in U.S. usage means a short ton of 2,000 pounds. That keeps the “bounce per ounce” figures sane.
Applying to Russia?
Using recent output in the 310–330 tonne range, one tonne of gold is about 32,150.75 troy ounces, so at $57,000 per ounce a tonne is roughly $1.83 billion. Multiply through:
- At 310 tonnes: about $568 billion
- At 313 tonnes: about $574 billion
- At 330 tonnes: about $605 billion
Even using only the US debt held by the public—about $30 trillion—the 40 percent coverage point still runs close to $46,000 per ounce. That assumes all official gold is unencumbered and ignores leasing, derivatives, or market supply elasticity. The simple point stands: if the dollar’s faith base were re-anchored to metal, gold would have to soar by an order of magnitude to keep up with the compounding curve.
A one-line takeaway from today’s breakfast scramble might be: if Washington ever tried to restore partial gold coverage, fair value would start around $50,000 an ounce—because that’s what it would take to make debt and metal share the same reality again.
But Washington (outside of a 10-minute elections window) manages to screw up most things it touches and we have no doubt the will over estimate their budgeting power and under estimate rates. Not like it wouldn’t be the first time.
The good news is government isn’t spending as much (while closed). The bad news is? Political hackticians will make sure the “shutdown” becomes a paid vacation for government workers who’ve been sent home.
My God, you’re generous with money you don’t have. Good for you.
Stupid old folks in the woods like us? We’re working the seeds and fencing, planning water and reloading strategies. Nothing to read here.
Or here, either: Here’s why Bitcoin price and the crypto market are going up in Uptober. Because we look for BTC to roll mid 130’s and then be halved. But, have in Ure way.

Forecast: California’s in the crapper: Gavin Newsom hits out at Trump after FAA warned there would be no air traffic controllers at Hollywood airport. There is no airport in Hollywood – he may be thinking (ahem) about 7 miles north, in Burbank. It’s the closest and easiest for domestic flights, long favored by entertainment industry folks. It’s how I flew in.
Did you know? Most don’t and the MSM is pimping Gruesome: Burbank Airport’s air traffic control tower can become unmanned for extended periods, such as the 4:15 p.m. to 10 p.m. window mentioned during a government shutdown, but normally, the airport adheres to a voluntary 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew for most operations. This curfew is a nightly restriction that prevents aircraft from arriving or departing, indicating the tower is typically not staffed for active air traffic control during those hours. Is is possible to please more than 2 people at once in HWood anymore?

OK, this is more a Peoplenomics 2026 thing. but did you see where OpenAI has come out with a preview of an Apps SDK? (That’s a “system developer kit” for ChatGPT.)
The reason to mention is that once I finish the current book project (more on that in a sec.) the MoneyMachine coding will resume on the subscriber side.
If you’re not a subscriber, the short version is I’m (as time permits in Python) building a lite implementation of my method to implement Cycle_Decomposition_Academic_Paper_With_Math. The new CGPT Apps SDK means when it gets done, should be an easy port to something less arduous than compiled Python.
(OK, does it make any sense at all, yet? Let’s move along, then…

ATR: World’s Most Important Invention Is?
Getting well-into writing my next book (Mind Amplifiers: On Human Use of Cognitive Prosthetics) and going through the migration of human consciousness out of living entirely “inside our heads with a plug-in for sensors.”
Somehow, along the way, this most delectable thought wandered by Monday: “You know what the most important invention in the whole History of the World is, right?”
“Easy – The Wheel…duh?”
“Nope. The hinge.”
“OK…Want to go ahead and explain that?”
“Sure. With a hinge, you can begin to build doors and walls, and even windows. That’s when humans began to split Inside from Outside. Much Bigger Deal than stupid wheels…”
I’m still thinking about it. Not sure if it belongs in the chapter “Prosthetics, Processors, and Processes” or in the Metrology of the Ontology chapter.
And you thought your Monday was tough.
Write when I get rich; I got the unhinged part covered.

re: “An American Tail”, 1986
feat: cat & mouse
Folks,
According to “The History of English”, the Latin quote “dum felis dormit, mus gaudet et exsi litantro” parallels the modern day “when the cat’s away, the mice will play”.
It is past 4 pm in Kyiv and the President of the Ukraine has not published to his Telegram account today. His last public update offered yesterday informed that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is on a trip to Shostka in the “difficult” Sumy region.
As chance would have it, Shostka is the hometown of the Russian-Jewish mouse Fievel (“Bright One”) and his mouse family in the fictional 1885 era Universal Pictures movie “An American Tail”. Fievel emigrates from Shostka in search of a cat-free homeland. He has many adventures when accidentally separated from his family.
Spoiler Alert: A happy ending sees Fievel witness the opening of the Statue of Liberty!
There’s only one Georgenac the Carnificent.
The President of the Ukraine has posted his meeting today accepting credentials of the new Danish Ambassador to Ukraine. The video clip even offers a melodious piano backing. It wasn’t Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” tune.
was it “Stand Up for Ure Man ” with PenisT accompaniment on Piano ? Said to be one of Voldies favs.
F-Sharp must be real bitch to play with 2 Nutz and a control stick..ouch.

Borge was Hear,
If its not too much of a stretch, perhaps Cinnamon Girl can segue nicely with the Gingerbread Man song. Be careful around red-haired foxes, of course.
As an aside, a ginger snap variety polled on the list of popular tea-dipping cookies in a 2009 “Telegraph” report. Mind you, they shouldn’t be confused with brandy snaps.
I wonder if Looking Out of the Box rolls his gingerbread dough thickly or thinly?
re: Sumy
PM Mrs. Yulia Svyrydenko has posted to her Telegram account about her trip to dangerous Sumy where the President sent her. She met with military leaders in a bunker-like setting. Civilians sought selfies with her as she personally inspected a bombed out train.
She also posted a video clip of her greeting the Mrs. PM of Lithuania who exited her sedan with a possibly bullet-riddled front end at the entrance to the Government Building in Kyiv. There were speeches (in Russian?) and moments of comedy, albeit surely amateur as the President didn’t appear present, but laughter flowed unforced all the same.
The closing seconds of the video clip depicted the two women PMs standing while backed again by the ascending stairs. The upper reaches of the parted curtains were no longer cropped out. They formed the shape of a crown.
Surely anyone watching such a sight while sitting in an English castle would be reaching for an imperial cookie.
A shop dude would choose a Hinge for most important invention, obviously. Upon further consideration I have to go with WOMEN being the number one invention of all TIME. Shout out the Creator ! Fantastic job making em all smart, pretty and desirable out of a Rib!
You cant live with em, and certainly dont want to live without em, whats a fellow to do, except moar WOMEN. So many pretty Women out there and so little time – and that good citizens is greatest problem facing Humanity today – Not enough Time to Boink em all.
Hell with ME wars, screw ukraine war, care a less south America, there are Women out there in need of some Loving, right now !
Direct call to action – time to fullfill Ure duty and get busy with it.
Remember – in order to pay it forward, you need to make a couple of “deposits”.

how long you two been together… you mentioned showing us who took you off the market.that got me thinking of my father’s definition of love..he taught us Lust is in the looks… love is in the labor.. to whether the storms of life in parallel..having the same goals and dealing with real life issues together as one. consistency of what you do for each other .the US against the world attitude..the two musketeer’s…to many life choices is looks money etc. that can be lost in a moment..life becomes routine it’s the same day in day out eventually they separate and go different directions rather than meet the storms that hit everyone head on.. I think it’s wonderful that you’ve finally found the right one to help you navigate the life’s road together..I pray you keep this level of joy and happiness.
If she has a sister, sent vcard to g2 lol
i been asked that many times. and if she did have a sister my roomate would already be trying to get with her sister.
she waits in bed till i fall asleep every night, then gets up, goes and makes my lunch if i have to work the next day. sets out my work clothes and writes me a note.
i never asked her for any of that stuff. she just does it, because that is who she is and she loves me.
all my buddies asked if she has a sister.
and she already asked me. i told her that is my job and i need to talk to your father first silly.
we are going on 7 months.
we do have our moments, LOB. all relationships do. we work through them pretty quickly.
the problem we had is when we are both getting upset we talk over each other. she is so fucking sexy and hot when she gets mad. i damn near pants her ass in the kitchen when she was mad and yelling at me. that is different. never been that way with any woman.
so when we are upset in order to ensure the other is listening. we tried to do the talking pillow. whoever has the talking pillow gets to speak and the other has to listen. and vice versa.
and that evolved to the talking Tiddie. so if i have my hand on her tiddie she has to listen. then if she has her hand on her tiddie, i have to listen.
works pretty well.
ha ha ha ha

Social sciences on otherhand is virgin territory – how to get Earth population UNhooked, UnZombiefied, off the control matrixes, unbrain washed. Current ET social science experiment involves – mass khaos and breakdowns of global control systems to get a break fromn “CONTROLs” constant bombardments. Once all control is brokedown – ET will be phoning home – and changing all of our MINDS, for the better.

$AMZN is pulling Xmas xonsumption forward and some of the reason why there isn’t a lot of so-called seasonal hiring discussed the other day. Think about some of the dam jargon that’s used. “Shopgates”, right?

And another thing! The $AMZN sale wares are old stock. The freshest fragrances (Spicebomb) originally released in 2012 and CK Obsession from ’85? And then there’s that game changer, tomahawk cruise missile given to the nuts in Ukraine. Civilization has less than a day after that. Plan accordingly.

“The invention of the pneumatic tire, a seemingly simple innovation, revolutionized transportation as we know it. Before its advent, travel was a bumpy, arduous affair, limited by the rigid and unforgiving nature of solid rubber tires. The pneumatic tire, with its air-filled chamber, transformed journeys, making them smoother, faster, and more comfortable. This seemingly small change had a profound impact, paving the way for the development of modern automobiles, bicycles, and motorcycles, ultimately shaping the world we live in today.”
Been mentioned to me that pneumatic tires best invention ever, so far.

Actually imo it was the harnessing of electricity to be able to do WORK that was the discovery /invention breaktrhough that took the world to going beyond mechanical devices being the work enhancers for humans.
WATER WHEELS with central shafts and pulleys were the first ways to power production both for grinding grain and for having machines help humans make stuff. That is why the cotton mills of New England and of England became so important and led the way with industrial production … ALL initially water wheel powered.
Later STEAM became the energy source for powering those central shafts, which allowed factories to be located away from being only where there was a natural water drop … plus steam energy could be hooked to a device used to carry people and material horizontally too (trains and boats).
Then came electricity!! On the wonders of what electricity could do! It could be generated far away from where it would be used and then CHEAPLY tansported to where it would be consumed to do work!
Electricity could power equipment in factories at the individual machine level, no need to have to use a central shaft running down the length of the factory. Additionally electricity could be used to create light!, something previously in very short supply and very expensive to create. (though made greatly cheaper to create by JD Rockefellers relentless drive to reduce the cost of keroscene which was the major way light was created from the late 1870’s through the early 1900’s – JD Rockefeller brought that cost down 98% with his relentless drive to efficiency efficiency efficiency in the petroleum business – remember his efforts started long before oil was used to make gasoline).
Today try to imagine our industrialized world without ELECTRICITY?
Every machine in a manufacturing plant is individually hooked up via some thin metal cables so they can work enhancing human and animal power for making products that we consume.
Elevators would be impossible to install in buildings, thus reducing the heights they can go to, without Electricity to power their small power motors.
For much of the world their most of their train systems run on electricty as do all subways worldwide.
Refrigerators, air conditioners, and yep even jet airplanes can only operate because of electricity which is used to both power and control many of their operations.
Lights, telephones, radio, TV, and the internet only exist because of electricity.
Electricity is the scientific breakthrough that allowed our modern world to exist. Without it our modern world would not exist. I nominate electricity as the MOST IMPORTANT Discovery /Invention EVER!!
Yep…with a couple of well placed EMPs and it’s back to the water wheel.
Absolutely … I agree with that assessment. A few well-placed EMPs and we’d be back to the water wheel—because our infrastructure isn’t just fragile, it’s Been severely neglected. Politicians were too busy lining pockets of the puppeteers to invest in resilience and national security. The Texas freeze should’ve been a wake-up call, but instead we doubled down on spectacle. Monster turbines make headlines, but what we need are solar towers at substations, grid-tie systems for every home, and greenscaped cities that reclaim cropland lost to urban sprawl. Scandinavian models prove it’s doable. Add air wells to harvest moisture from the air, and you’ve got a blueprint for survival of the infrastructure..most of the components are made by the very countries the politicians are going up against—going this route of solar distributed and small wind would be the blueprint of national security and not just sustainability. I’ve been saying this for decades. Maybe now someone’s listening and I won’t continue to sound like that dam broken record..
I would have to agree with that. ELECTRICITY is number one!
Hmm… I’m not sure.. water.. but you need electricity to move the water..The brain says, “I should be the boss—I control thought and reason.” The heart says, “No, I pump life through the body.” The lungs say, “Without me, there’s no breath.” The stomach says, “I fuel the whole system.” Then the anus pipes up and says, “I want to be boss.” The other organs laugh. So the anus closes up. Soon the brain fogs, the heart strains, the stomach bloats, and the whole body suffers. Moral: Even the smallest part can shut down the system.your insight about electricity. It may be the lifeblood of modern civilization, but without water, food, shelter, and care, it’s just a hum in the void. The grid is the brain, but the pantry, the garden, the hearth—they’re the gut, the breath, the warmth.Which is more important..When politicians obsess over numbers on paper and serve only the ultra-wealthy, the country can’t rebound—it erodes from the bottom up. Healthcare and basic resources for the least among us have been neglected for so long, the foundation is cracked. The deficit isn’t just financial—it’s moral. I think that’s why DOGE went eerily quiet. When trillions in abuse and mismanagement came to light, it wasn’t just a scandal—it was a signal. We’d already passed the tipping point. That “big beautiful bill” wasn’t A rescue—it was only an illusion. A gilded lifeboat for the top tier to keep appearances while the base sinks. I’ve seen it coming for decades… but then who am I just some old moron in the wastelands of the USA that reads to much..

You do. One of Michigan’s little secrets: Y’all produce some of the best topatoes and hunyums in da world, in the SW Michigan peat belt (which actually starts at about US-20, in Indiana.) There are major shipping points in Elkhart, Niles, and Grant, and processors everywhere in-between. Niles also does blueberries and honey (there’s a huge Amish apiary in that area, somewhere. I have several of their 66lb casks in storage) and Grant does apples and peaches. When I was a kid, we’d make a trip to me Uncle’s in GRR and bop up to Grant, just to stop in at Sauer’s “Snappy Apple” orchard (They built the store outside Casnovia at the corner of M37 and M46, half way between Grand Rapids and Muskegon, in the early ’70s, after my uncle had passed.) In the summer, Grant would typically have hundreds of 8’x8′ heavy steel crates full of potatoes or onions (in-season) setting on the docks, waiting to be loaded onto flatcars…
Received less than a tenth inch here and no rain in the ten day forecast.
The farmers are planting winter wheat here.
I came to the conclusion 25 years ago that Larry Ellison was Satan incarnate. Since then, I have been exceedingly leery of everything Oracle. Yes, I own a Sparc-III, but it’s running BSD and absolutely does not know what a cloud is. Ellison’s personal worth is somewhere around 12-digits. I would not be surprised to find out that ORCL was teetering on the edge…
Last month I retrieved a couple of my old Krugerrands and exchanged them for silver coins from my near-notorious dealer in the county over. He gave me a great deal – don’t know why.., I only had two silver coins left and figured now was the time to “stock-up”. Yes.., I checked them all – he knows better then to try and cheat me. He never does anything for free.., must be setting me up for a ‘favor’.., that sounds like him. And silver has gone up rather nicely these past few weeks – so, my timing seems pretty good.

Do you understand the chaos-&-consequences of Gold hitting $50,000 an ounce ? Good lordy., what a financial mess. I’d be doing fantastic., but the world in general would be in complete and total panic. [ Be fun to watch, though.., wouldn’t it !? ]
” I’d be doing fantastic., but the world in general would be in complete and total panic. [ Be fun to watch, though.., wouldn’t it !? ]”
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t everything else have gone up proportionately, leaving you no better off than you are now?
I saw correct you…, no – that is not the way it works.
Very simple. You don’t have any.
dLynn : probably a good spot of arbitrage. For the record, I did the same trade recently. The classic 60:1 ratio has now stretched to 83:1 so?
To me it’s always been about having units of value easily exchanged. In the 2011 run I sold bars thinking who could _ever_ spend $300-400 at the grocery?
Guess ya just have to live long enough.

Scientists in Australia have discovered that honeybee venom can destroy 100% of aggressive breast cancer cells in less than 60 minutes. The venom contains a substance called melittin, which targets cancer cells by making holes in their membranes, causing them to die quickly.
What’s more interesting, this method is not harmful to healthy cells. It leaves them alone. It looks like the cure we’ve been chasing for such a long time might have been buzzing around us all along.
– Follow-up:
– In Australia they have asked the government for human clinical trials – and the chemical melittin is easily reproducible. They are also doing lab tests to see it it is applicable for other specific cancer cells. Lung cancer, liver cancer.., et al.
– – Wouldn’t that be something ? It’s been around for how many millennia ?
Just the thing to keep your honey…uh…fire the writer!
(“Just the thing to keep your honey…uh…fire the writer!”)
remember the old saying… enjoy health eat your honey daily…—pun intended—and it carries more wisdom than most realize. Honey isn’t just a treat; it’s a legacy food. It’s antibacterial, antifungal, and packed with enzymes, antioxidants, and trace minerals. Ancient Egyptians used it for healing wounds, and Ayurvedic texts called it “nectar of life.” Even today, raw honey is used to soothe coughs, mixed with garlic cloves..boost immunity, and support gut health.
They have been studying this for a while now the research papers are available to read..just like the supplement sweet wormwood that also kills thousands of cancer cells …
And it to is available like sweet wormwood in supplement form..

https://www.biosynth.com/
https://www.thomassci.com/p/sigma-melittin-from-honey-bee-venom-85-hplc
Remember though unlike sweet wormwood…Melittin is very powerful —and it can rupture cell membranes, which is why it’s being studied for cancer. But that same property makes it dangerous if misused. I would say Until clinical trials confirm safe dosing and delivery, it’s best to avoid concentrated melittin outside of medical research. trying it on your own is extremely dangerous..of course that’s just my opinion.. This is not something to try on your own always follow your doctors advice..

The “cure” for 90%+ of all ulcers came from an Outback Doctor in Australia working alone with NO funding by anybody but his own slim bank account.
At the time, the early /mid 1980’s the most profitable part of Medicine was for the treatment of ulcers … (expensive) drugs, doctor visits, and of course ulcer surgery. It was a gold mine, so profitable for the medical “business” that the year before the Outback Doctor’s theories were proved correct as I recall Eli Lilly made 40% of it’s profits off of it’s anti ulcer medicines!!
The medical BUSINESS was happy with how life was going and how much money they were making off of ulcers until … until … until … that darn Outback Doctor’s work caught the attention of somebody in the British National Institute of Health which decided to fund a double blind study to investigate his claims … and the treatment he came up with.
At the time although young I had developed ulcers, the very expensive drugs had only slowed down, not stopped their development. My Gastro Dr. told me they had gotten so bad that I would need an operation in just a few months.
Alas at the time I was a subscriber to The Economist out of Great Britain (a news weekly but with 10x the news that Time or Newsweek would carry) and the week after the British National Institute of Health published the results of their study the Economist devoted one full page to the Outback Doctor’s theories, the double blind study done by the BNIH, and the cure that the study indicated worked for over 90% of those receiving the treatment.
On a visit to my Gastro Dr, the Doctor who had told me I was going to need ulcer surgery, that week I asked him about the British NIH study … and he launched into a tirade about how that organization was just a schlock organization filled with LAZY British Government Bureaucrats who couldn’t figure out how many aspirins one could take let alone do any REAL science. Per him it was all crap, just like the British NIH was, and should ignored.
My Gastro Doctor was so emotional about it that on the way home I stopped by the local Krogers and spent $5 buying the over the counter Outback Doctor claimed MIRACLE CURE, went home, looked at the dosing listed on the label, and began a two week self directed treatment. In 3 days my symptoms were mostly gone, in a week they were all gone, but just to make sure I kept dosing myself for another week. VOILA I cured myself and I have never had a problem since.
What was the claimed Miracle Cure? Bismuth … as in Pepto Bismal!! less than $5 for two of the largest bottles on the shelf in Krogers. (each day’s prescription drugs cost me more than that)
Since I was now “cured” I followed the issue in the US medical profession /BUSINESS with rapt attention.
WOW, EVERY Doctor organization came out against the concept that ulcers were mostly caused by a gut bacteria using Bismuth as a treatment, as did the FDA and the US NID, was JUNK SCIENCE … in STRONG WORDS!! week after week, month after month.
The Drug Companies published “studies” showing that the treatment did NOT work (without doing any studies of their own) and put on seminars all over the country to convince Doctors that the Bismuth Treatment was not just JUNK SCIENCE but would harm the patients who tried it.
There was a full court press by the US Medical Establishment, from the drug companies, to the Professional Doctor groups, to the government’s own science bodies (FDA and US NIH) to discredit the poor Outback Doctor and the British National Institute of Health’s study.
The entire US medical establishment was clearly very very concerned about “Health” … the Health of their personal BANK ACCOUNTS! (remember at the time treating ulcers was the most profitable part of the US medical BUSINESS!).
Alas the Outback Doctor, who all alone did the work and self funded it, was correct … MOST ulcers were caused by specific bacteria in the gut, which Bismuth quickly killed while leaving the good bacteria alone.
That Outback Doctor eventually won the Nobel Prize for Medicine for his discovery and treatment … but though I looked for years I never saw any of the Drug Companies, the FDA, the US NIH, or the many Doctors groups that fought tooth and nail against his findings, even launching personal attacks against him, ever issue an apology to him.
Since I was personally involved as a patient with the “disease” at the time I learned a very important lesson about the US medical system … ANYTHING that is going to hurt their cash flow and profits they will actively OPPOSE even if it greatly hurts millions of patients.
Cancer vaccine:
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-cancer-vaccine-enteromix-claims-trials-2126451
I have concluded that a large part of the money the US public pays for cancer research is wasted. The Federal guys who control funding are all on the Pharma payroll . It is not really in the interest of the Patent Medicine outfits (Pharma) to cure anything; they just want to prolong the agony.
That may partially explain why Bee Keepers have to longest lives of any identifiable occupation.
Umm. I take my teaspoon of honey daily in my morning Green Tea (from bee keeper non pasturized) … but for purposes of my allergies. The micro-dosing of LOCAL pollen into my system daily, an old wives tale, seems to work for keeping my absolutely terrible seasonable allergies at bay.
I squeeze my honey all time (lord knows what Andy and his..er…) Z’at count?
I asked a Sociology professor what he thought was one of the greatest inventions ever. Without even thinking about it he said: The indoor fireplace.
– I gave a puzzled look…,
He replied.., Prior to the indoor fireplace all segments of society., and segments of a household had to gather around a central fire. For cooking and for warmth. Can’t have the household servants and slaves freezing can you ? But when the indoor fireplace was invented, accepted and adapted the structure of the household changed., dramatically. Servants and slaves were now relegated to separate living areas and no longer mingled with the house owners. Segregation of the household structure began., and so did the segregation of societies.
Makes sense.
I thought it was the ondol…The earliest ondol systems appeared during the Goguryeo Kingdom (37 BCE–668 CE). Archaeological sites show stone channels beneath floors that carried heat from wood fires.. Ondol works by channeling smoke and heat from a kitchen or furnace through flues beneath a stone or clay floor. The floor absorbs and radiates heat slowly, creating a warm, even surface ideal for sleeping, sitting, and living. More than warmth, ondol embodied communal living and groundedness. Families gathered on the heated floor, meals were shared, and children learned from elders—all on the same plane of warmth and connection. people removed shoes indoors, sat and slept on mats, and built homes low to the ground. The gentle radiant heat was believed to promote circulation and well-being. In some traditions, the ondol was seen as a hearth of memory, where ancestors were honored and stories passed down. These cultures have been passed down for thousands of years of taking ones shoes off at the entrance…This became a cultural and religious norm, not just for hygiene but for honoring the space where connection of families happened. It’s a gesture of humility and care—stepping into a home not with boots and baggage, but with bare feet and presence.
Other cultures with floor-based living—like Japan’s tatami rooms or parts of the Middle East—share similar customs. But Korea’s ondol made the floor not just functional, but symbolic: a place of warmth, memory, and gathering. Most folks today see it as habit or religion, but I know the Historical reason. Traditions like removing shoes or sitting close to the ground weren’t just customs—they were acts of care humility and acceptance. In homes with heated floors like the old ondol, the ground was considered sacred , warm, clean, and shared. You didn’t just walk in—you entered with humility. These rituals taught respect, connection, and presence. We’ve lost the meaning Today in the gesture, but it’s still there for those who remember.
What a great concept if you are building a house!
Instead of spending oodles to put plumbing in a concrete floor so as to pipe heated water in it to have a heated floor just put in retangular hollow tiles as the base layer of the floor and then cover with whatever (with clean out access points at the end of each room) … and have your furnace pump warm air through those tiles emptying finally into air vents elsewhere in the house.
Yes and they have been doing it for thousands of years.. the house that breaths.. the Romans implemented the same concept for their bath houses.. I read once that evidence to the use of the same technology in Sumerian ruins.. greenscaping…Archaeological evidence from ancient Sumerian ruins reveals sophisticated passive cooling techniques—thick mudbrick walls, narrow shaded streets, and clustered buildings that minimized solar exposure. These principles echo through the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, where green scaling—layered vegetation—was not just ornamental but functional, cooling the palace through evapo-transpiration. Ancient China carried this wisdom forward, integrating tiered gardens into temple architecture. These vertical gardens served triple duty: nourishing the people, beautifying sacred spaces, and regulating temperature during scorching summers. Across continents and centuries, the ancients understood what modern builders often forget: that nature, when invited into architecture, becomes both healer and teacher that adapting to the environment is not only being a good steward to the earth but also beneficial to mankind…
I always wanted to make either a rammed earth or compressed earth block or earth create and bermed house with ondol heating.. cost is extremely low.. your using the same materials that your removing..the earth bermed home another example of ancient tech..Throughout history, cultures across the globe have embraced the wisdom of earth-sheltered architecture, using the land itself as a partner in shelter and survival. Indigenous peoples of North America built pit houses and earth lodges, semi-subterranean dwellings that offered insulation and protection from harsh climates. Norse settlers in Iceland and Scandinavia crafted bermed homes with turf and stone, blending into the landscape while resisting cold winds. From the yaodong cave dwellings of China to the sod houses of American pioneers, these structures reflect a shared legacy: that true resilience often lies not in conquering nature, but in harmonizing with it. This architectural lineage reminds us that the earth is not just a foundation… my great grandma I was told refused to move out of her soddy.. someplace the state used it as a museum for prairie life.. a photo of her on the porch with my grandfather playing was the state advertising billboard..what people see in their mind is a dirt floor and cold damp earth..even though they are thinking about it in an earth building or they walk by them..
Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio, who at an event on Tuesday said investors should allocate about 15% of their portfolio to the precious metal, [ gold] citing its use as a source of downside protection. Gold futures recently traded at around $4,000 per troy ounce, reflecting a roughly 50% rise this year that has also lifted other metals.
.
15% allocation is the largest I have seen in a long time.
Damn! I shoulda never read the GA Stewart thingy this morning, especially considering it’s already tomorrow here. Every word simply drives the urge to search for tinier islands, to find a small group of souls making life work in as simple a framework as possible. Canoes without fuel, food that is plentiful without hard work, fishing with the moon phase and nothing about the madness of ‘civilization’. WTF???
Is it possible to be far enough away from the rest of stupidity? It certainly can’t be humanity. I spend time every morning doing the best I can to align my day with the simple tasks it requires to be ready for weeks at sea, to be ready to arrive somewhere with unpredictable humans stuck in the dirt, and the day moves as the Dude wills it. Do laundry, keep the unit clean and fit, rest, ponder, and co-create the world we want, not fall prey to the fear energy the Archons feed on.
This morning the clouds and rain are giving way to the blue, solar charging begins early, and I have little to want, still some to need.
Floating is its own reward as long as the bilge is dry and the rig is sound. We could be a thousand miles from the dirt and still live in the same tiny world, albeit not as stable as when moored, but just as comforting to an old soul that only seeks to be out there.
Stiks

I’m seriously thinking about issuing a sell signal for gold, the exact opposite of what the rest of the world is thinking.I haven’t yet decided if the Phillies are at the end of their run or can they hold it together for another go around.
On this site in Oct.2011,I flashed a sell signal at $1900 and a buy signal in Mar.2019 at $1300,both of which were caused by the Phillies’ doings on the diamond. As James Thurber said:”You could look it up.”
I’ll let you know if and when I’ve reached that point.
My Dodgers will end the Phillies run this year. Go Blue!
Nein, nein, nein
We gotz the Dodger Blue just where we want them. In fact we be so sure of ourselves we be breaking the baby Blue Uni’s for tonights game.

Seems there is some push back on the D’s purported position on tax breaks for Obamacare insurance recipients:
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/if-we-need-shutdown-heres-where-start
Not sure I agree with the author on most of his points, but apparently, there is some debate as to what tax break the D’s are using as a bloody shirt.
Obamacare enrollees get gouged, unless they qualify for a subsidy, or have low enough enough income to get back the difference between what they were charged and the actual cost of the insurance, as a tax break. I don’t like the way Obamacare has gouged early retirees and the self-employed, but extending the tax break up into higher incomes is a legislative issue, not a budget issue. If this is what the D’s are doing, then they are playing the government employees and the lefties for fools.
I will acknowledge this: if the feds mandate free insurance for the impoverished, they need to fund it, not steal it from early retirees and the self-employed, which is what they have been doing. The funding on Obamacare has been a travesty since the get-go, with no one occupying the high ground.
That “STEALING from the self employed and early retirees” was a FEATURE not a Fault.
Obama Care was a Democrat inspired plan …. but how at the time did most “self employed” people vote? REPUBLICAN!!
It was a SCREW REPUBLICANS plan from the Get Go.
I was screaming about that … but alas the Republican Leadership was so caught up with their NeoCON agenda and anti everything that they didn’t even notice that it was ONLY their voting base that would be picking up most of the tab for the uninsurable!
Until the Republicans in DC figure out that the entire Obama Care System was designed to screw over Republicans while giving benefits to Democrats the mess will continue.
The public does NOT WANT a complete abandonment of government subsidized health insurance, the Republicans tried that back in Trump’s first term and fell onto their own spear in the process. What needs to be done is to reform the Obama Care System so that the self employed and the early retirees are no longer carrying the heavy freight that actually needs to be carrierd by society as a whole.
China Ties to Zohran, Kirk’s Murder, Riots
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said that Neville Roy Singham, who is behind some of the funding to communist Zohran Mamdani, made his billions from China. He is also possibly tied to the funding of Salt Lake City Armed Queers. That group calls themselves “terrorists.” They had ties to China via Singham, and they have ties to Cuba.

Docs Show Biden DOJ Let SPLC, Other Groups, Set Civil Rights Agenda
Following the end of the FBI’s cooperation with the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center, America First Legal dropped a trove of documents proving that President Joe Biden’s Justice Department closely cooperated with SPLC, ADL, and other groups to target so-called hate. Indeed, the documents show that Kristen Clarke, the black supremacist who ran DOJ’s Civil Rights Division under Biden, took direction from the SPLC in running her department and setting its priorities.

Chicago mayor signs order creating ‘ICE free zones’
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, a Democrat, announced on Monday that he signed an executive order to establish “ICE free zones” throughout the city. The executive order comes as Democrat leaders in Chicago and Illinois have repeatedly tried to prevent President Donald Trump’s administration from conducting immigration enforcement operations throughout the sanctuary city.

I think this is an awesome idea. Mr. Trump can simply send a few (hundred or thousand) Federal Marshals (or deputized NG) in to cordon around every “ICE free zone” and simply detain everyone within the zone until they’ve been cleared.
Bottled water contains dangerous levels of microplastics that lodge in vital organs and raise cancer risk’, scientists warn
Bottled water may contain dangerous levels of microplastics that can slip through the body’s defences and lodge in vital organs—potentially increasing the risk of cancer, new research suggests. The study, led by Sara Sajedi, a leading environmental management expert at Concordia University, found that people who regularly drink bottled water consume around 90,000 more microplastic particles each year than those who drink tap water.
The potential health effects of ingesting these microscopic fragments have been increasingly documented, with research linking them to chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, hormonal disruption, infertility, neurological damage and cancer.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-15169729/dangerous-chemicals-bottled-water-bowel-cancer-microplastics.html
“Scientists have discovered that tamarind, a tangy tropical fruit widely used in South Asian and African cuisines, may help the human body flush out microplastic particles naturally.
According to the study, certain compounds found in tamarind pulp and extract bind to microplastic fragments, allowing the body to excrete them safely through the digestive system.”

apon closer inspection the Christians and the Muslems are forming an aliance against the Zionest power brokers and bankers due primarily to the bullshit of their spokesman.
things are heating up on the market and all that i will leave to the experts to explain. we are 23 days away from the October 30th event.

**********my entire theme song for this recent visit here on urban survival this round summed up in the Pretender Lyrics, from Jackson Brown. which occured to me the morning my lady left me that 20 spot which of course has Jackson on it,
“Caught between the longing for love
And the struggle for the legal tender
Where the sirens sing and the Church bells ring
And the junk man pounds his fender
Where the veterans dream of the fight
Fast asleep at the traffic light
And the children solemnly wait
For the icecream vendor
Out into the cool of the evening
Strolls the pretender
He knows that all his hopes and dreams
Begin and end there”
interesting play by THE DUDE, and entire 3 week dialog based off a Jackson Brown song.
hmmm.
When the shit hits the fan, I am sure I will be on a ship packed full with MREs, Military Grade weapons, and Full of Fuel. with a few Destroyer escorts.

Candice Owens was one of the sharpest knives in the drawer, until she became a mommy.
I don’t know if it was childbirth, or the realization that celebrity moms had to have a significant income to remain celebrity moms, but she wigged out considerably and has now become an “off her rocker” conspiracy nutjob. If she is dropping truth bombs, it is purely by random chance…
The Trump DOJ won’t prosecute anything, unless they have sufficient evidence to ensure a likely conviction. If you try and don’t convict, you forever lose the opportunity for someone else to prosecute later on, after more evidence surfaces. Would you really want Bondi to prosecute a dirtbag and fail for lack of evidence? Comey is one of the dirtiest bureaucrats we’ve ever had in government, and despite lying to Congress, on video, is likely to walk because he’s being tried by a Biden judge in a district that’s over 92% Democratic.
Understand though, Andy, the Trump Administration is not going to lose, disappear, or misplace any evidence of anything. My understanding is you’re not signing up for the Merchant Marine, but as a sailor on a military ship? I cannot stress enough that once you raise your hand, everything you say or do will be subject to scrutiny and analysis at any time. We are a lot more information security oriented than we were when you were a swaddie, and our government is a lot more paranoid. This means if they can interpret innocent conversation as being not so innocent, they will do so. Please be both aware, and vigilant…
My kids give me scrap all the time..they keep saying pull those weeds.. I won’t.. the reason is..the weeds they hate all have some pretty powerful points to them..dandelions are one of my favorite..
