Bonds, Wars, Weather, and the 2027 Splice

Peoplenomics Saturday: When the Atoms Start to Line Up

The charts are calling higher. The bond market is throwing warning flares. Oil, food, weather and war are running on different clocks — and our latest Over-the-Horizon scan says several of those clocks may begin striking together as we move toward 2027.

This weekend we connect the ChartPack to the latest OTH forecast, look at why the 1973–75 template suddenly matters again, and explain a deceptively simple forecasting idea: headlines are the atoms; trouble begins when they form compounds.

Plus: the Middle East military buildup, the Kaliningrad nuclear warning, a historic El Niño setup, housing at 7-percent-plus mortgages, and why Friday’s surprisingly weak jobs number may have handed the markets a temporary gift.

Charts tell us where we are. OTH asks where the pressure wants to go out beyond t+7.

That’s what we’re working on this weekend at Peoplenomics.  If you want to live in yesterday…have fun.

  1. g,

Your atoms and compounds chemistry analogy is quite brilliant and instructive.

There is a component in chemical reactions that might be worth considering and that is catalyst(s).

A catalyst is a substance that:

increases the rate of a reaction
does not alter the products of the reaction
is not chemically changed or used up at the end of the reaction

Any idea what the catalysts might be in your analogy…..human greed, stupidity, normalcy bias, etc.

  3. Only been a week.., and I am already bored.

Finished my usual “first of the month” Freeze Dried order, then my dehydrated order [ two different companies.]

Still looking for my next great adventure – maybe I should stop looking and let it sneak-up on me. [?]

  4. As large infotainment screen and other high-tech, often connected features have become standard across the automotive industry over the last 10-plus years, vehicles have begun passing data out from the vehicles as well as taking it in. And it may be more prolific, and expansive, than you realize: a new study from Northeastern University claims nearly every automaker operating in the United States has cars that send your personal data to outside companies.
According to the study; Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Pinterest, and Reddit were the most common recipients of the data.
Apps transmitted sensitive identifiers, such as VINs, emails, phone numbers, and precise locations, to third parties associated with advertising and tracking. Declining data-sharing agreements can disable features like navigation, driver-assist, or over-the-air updates.
Consumer Reports found that personal information being transmitted can be used by banks, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, lenders, and retailers to create profiles of drivers, often without their knowledge

In “Policy Speak” – your car is spying on you and you can’t do a damn thing about it.
    – Except drive an old Studebaker pickup. –

    • “vehicles have begun passing data out from the vehicles as well as taking it in”

This was a Fed requirement, beginning in M/Y 2009.

MVs were not required to spy on their passengers, but the ability to do so was required to be integrated into the vehicle. A number of vehicles as old as M/Y 1997 had these “features” embedded. You have to get far into your vehicle’s technical data (or visit a conspironut site maintained by a car enthusiast) to find out whether your 2002 Citroen or Lada has been bugged. You should already know your Ford or Chevy has…

  5. Wage differences.. years ago I was eating chicken in a kfc.. got visiting with a couple young ladies..they were being trafficked..and wanted to escape the bondage..I convinced them to do the hbjuniors sister in law way and tossed hid PO s gun and ran..they moved to a city far from where and thought they were free.. then he caught her beat her and I get a call from an ER to see if it was ok to treat her..( she had listed me as her emergency contact) she was back in his stable.. eventually the traffickers got caught..they asked if she would testify against them..they had threatened her that if she did..retribution would be against her little sister and mother..so she went to jail..I’d send her a couple bucks to get soap and shampoo etc..and years later she’s out..
Here’s the Dilemma she’s in…. even while being forced the money he gave them was pennies on the dollar…to keep the cash cow working..the trafficker paid for her daily expenses..she got sick he paid..without her he didn’t make any money and he couldn’t be rich without the harem he managed.. she’s out…trying real hard ..but trying to keep afloat with the daily cost and only taking home five hundred every week..when before as a trafficked cash cow she took in thousands a day.. I hope and pray she survives and makes the right decision but I know she’s at a crossroad..
living in the real world is a lot different…
