“In support of its goals and in light of the shift in the balance of risks, the Committee decided to lower the target range for the federal funds rate by 1/4 percentage point to 4 to 4?1/4 percent. In considering additional adjustments to the target range for the federal funds rate, the Committee will carefully assess incoming data, the evolving outlook, and the balance of risks. The Committee will continue reducing its holdings of Treasury securities and agency debt and agency mortgage?backed securities. The Committee is strongly committed to supporting maximum employment and returning inflation to its 2 percent objective.

In assessing the appropriate stance of monetary policy, the Committee will continue to monitor the implications of incoming information for the economic outlook. The Committee would be prepared to adjust the stance of monetary policy as appropriate if risks emerge that could impede the attainment of the Committee’s goals. The Committee’s assessments will take into account a wide range of information, including readings on labor market conditions, inflation pressures and inflation expectations, and financial and international developments.”

  1. Peter Grandich: Though the public storage industry itself has done nothing wrong, it is to me the “Poster-Child” for one of the many factors that have led many Americans down a very bad economic road.

    In a society that use to always first asked, “can we afford it”, we now have gone to just “can we just make the first payment?”

    Our parents and grandparents lived in much smaller dwellings, but never needed what is now seen every couple of miles on roads all over America, “Public-Storage” (to keep what they couldn’t hold in their own households” and had far less “stuff” then we do now).

    • a few weeks ago i was sitting out where i smoke. i saw a slug trying to find its way. i was watching it then i startred singing that old hymnal song, I will fly away O glory. I’ll fly away. after my smoke, i reached down pick up the slug and walked a hundred yards out into the woods and set him safely down on some moss.

      the very next day i went out to my spot to smoke, there was three slugs there. two big ones and a lil baby one. i finished my smoke then i started to sing again, I’ll fly away O glory. i’ll fly away. i swooped them up took them 120 yards out into the woods and set them safely down on a tree stump.

      3 days later i went out there to my spot to smoke and there was 30 slugs in that same spot. so i haf my smoke. after i started singing I’ll fly away O glory. I’ll Fly away. i scooped them all up on a shovel and took them 150 yards out into the woods and set them down safely on the moss.

      the next day i came out there to smoke. i didnt see one slug. i found a dime laying on the ground.

      and i thought,
      Your whole life can turn on a dime.

      i picked it up and put in my pocket.

      • I have never seen a Canada dump ballast in flight unless it gets 12ga bbs. They wait to land to fertilize, golf courses, parks and beach lifers back twenty grasses. Not seen cematary accummulations = Must be a tribute. Land owner on harbour front got top results by placing bow-target life-size coyote. Moved around occasionally and family can enjoy yard all the way to beach. Coyote Headstone?

  4. Cheap money will be like rocket fuel on the new factories. There’s gonna be so many new factories… the National Guard will lay down arms to get gigs in the private sector.

Well I was at the Bullard Post office the other day mailing an estimated tax payment there were 2 folks in front of me and an older Red neck from an obvious poor background – beard, dirty clothes hadn’t washed in awhile and absolutely furious arguing with the Postal Clerk about why he isn’t getting his mail on time. The clerk was being patient and respectful explaining why it was being delayed and said he’d check on something for him in back. By this time the folks in front of me went back to their vehicles waiting for him to finish. he finished up and whipped around still mad and looked at me with his single tooth and asked me if I believed in Jesus and I said well; I believe in life after death and was raised in the Lutheran Church. He went off – did you know that Israel turned 77 years old this year, they have sacrificed the red heifers in preparation to build the third temple on the site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the slaughter of the Palestinians is the final act before doing so. I was as you can imagine stunned ……. still am.

  7. Wow I had something today I’ve never had..I had a traditional Slavic meal..
    it was actually good.. A treat for them..salted fat…
    SALO
    2–3 lbs pork back fat (skin-on, thick and firm)
    ½ cup coarse salt (non-iodized)
    1 tblespoon black pepper (crushed or ground)
    6–8 garlic cloves (sliced or crushed)
    Optional: bay leaves, paprika, chili flakes, coriander seeds
    Cut into slabs or blocks (about 2×4 inches).
    Score the skin lightly if desired.
    Coat each piece with salt, pepper, garlic, and optional spices.
    Press bay leaves or garlic slices into the fat.
    Refrigerate for 5–7 days, turning daily.
    now I can actually say..it wasn’t bad…love the borscht that was amazingly good.. sour cream in it..

  10. i was thinking about your artical George on supliments for longevity this morning.

    i only take 2. i do take L-Theanine in the morning with coffee. it has vastly helped me remember my dreams.

    the only other supliment i do take daily is, I have a Key Word Study Bible that tells me, “man does not live by bread alone but the the very WORD of God” and it clearly states “THE WORD became flesh.”

    it also gives clear and simple to understand instructions on how to obtain Eternal Life.

    those are my daily supliments. and they work extremely well for me.

    and age 55, im built like a brick house. every doctor that has given me a physical says, Andy, your vitals, heart rate, blood pressure, and Cholesteral levels are that of a fit athlete in their teens. i had a colosopy and they didnt find one pollip. i have perfect white blood cell count etc. etc. no signs of diabetes or any of that. i can do 300 pushups and 200 sit ups in 20 minutes flat and run for 5 miles straight.. and i smoke.

    my girlfriend is 23 years younger than me and smoking hot.

    to each their own. what is mine is mine and what is Ures is Ures.
