No Discernable Breakthrough

Dancing along trend tops in markets. With no breakthrough at the Anchorage talks, is a disappointing Fall in the offing. Is Donald Trump overselling again?

(Come on, is that even a question?)

A nice ChartPack to consider, though, as we mull the way forward…and the Wax Witch stirs…

  1. “Since this *(replay of WW I trench warfare) is run by Putin (who won’t cede Crimea, and a dictator in Ukraine who won’t hold elections or leave without Crimea, we don’t see much chance of peace, unfortunately.”

YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. Seems to me that one of the two has to go. Any bets which one?

  2. as the Epstein story gets silenced … all by design …… the games continue folks … good luck

    • All by design…did you truly expect more.. there is to many powerful people involved..

  3. “indictments of Hillary ”

For real this time. *sizzle* *sizzle*. Believe.

    “Trump for Nobel Peace Prize”

Will the base praise Trump for the award or recognize the prize as a charade they said it was when Obama was given the award? This gets one *sizzle* like a fish fillet flip-flopping in a hot, greasy skillet. Stay tuned.

I’m surprised nobody said Trump has pre-positioned the troops in DC to arrest Obama. That would have rhymed with the Mercy/Comfort/Tom Hanks/Pizza Comet memes.

Listen up, Boo-Boo, there’s a new family of peeps moving into the Deputy Park Ranger’s old digs at Windsor Great Park. Park Ranger, King Charles III, must wish it so.

The pagan tribes’ “Ceasar’s Camp” had stood adjacent to Windsor Great Park for several centuries before the Romans constructed their main western thoroughfare road past it from Londinium named “Devil’s Highway”. Modern day plebeian occupants of automobile conveyances seeking daytrip respite stand greater chance of entering at Forest Gate via the A332. Nearby stands a modest nine-bay 18th century Georgian house purchased by King George IV in 1829 for his Deputy Park Ranger. Formerly known as Holly Lodge, the residence became Forest Lodge under King Edward VIII during the leasehold of his equerry, Sir John Baird. The latter famously acted as main contractor during construction of the Old Aswan Dam at the first cataract of The Nile which opened in 1902. As an aside, the dam’s financing apparently flowed from one of England’s wealthiest men, Anglo-Prussian banker Sir Ernest Cassel. His co-support of the 1912 Haldane Mission towards averting an Anglo-German naval arms race failed.

Kensington Palace has issued a brief public press release informing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their children shall take up residence at Forest Lodge by year’s end. Renovations are underway. Servants will be separately housed.

Separately, the Servant of the People has posted a picture of reflection, sharpened pencil in hand, to his public social media account. One is informed that he conversed with President Trump for one hour following the American leader’s meeting yesterday with the Russian (under an Alaskan state-flagged North Star of the Great Bear Constellation). He also extended congratulations of current battlefield exploits to units of three brigades associated with the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”.

    • I was going to suggest the fa e of the wicked witch of the NE as the wax witches face ..then realized.. it might break your monitor to put that image on her lol

      • re: EC President von der Leyen

        Folks,
Today’s episode of the Magical Mystery Tour has the Servant of the People at EU HQ in Brussels for a presser with Mme. von der Leyen.

The Ukraine President’s arrival into Melsbroek Airbase at Brussels Airport was captured by Shutterstock photographers. Apparently Shutterstock has merged this year with Getty Images, co-founded by Mr. Mark Getty KBE, the youngest son of J.P. Getty Jr. The endangered red kite bird of prey has been reintroduced in recent years at his modest 2,700 acre Wormsley Park estate in Buckinghamshire.

Apparently Melsbroek Airbase came to be courtesy of German Wehrmacht construction in WW2. The airfield was site of a temporary Allied setback on New Year’s Day 1945. Operation Bodenplatte (“Baseplate”) saw a last ditch Luftwaffe attempt to change the tide of the war.

It is expected that the Ukraine President shall shortly be winging his way to America.

  5. dictator doesn’t apply to zelensky. ukrainian law doesn’t allow elections as long as martial law is in place. zelensky was elected in 2019 with 75% of the vote. 60%+ of ukrainians according to a poll don’t want to hold elections. some of the concerns are continuity of government and russian interference trying to game the election to elect a russian friendly candidate. we’ve seen that before.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Ukrainian_presidential_election

    • There you go again – wrong and wronger:
First, it wasn’t the opposition in Ukraine calling for martial law — it was Zelenskyy himself who pushed for it after Russia’s invasion in 2022. That gave him sweeping powers, including postponing elections “until the war ends.” While martial law can be justified in wartime, the point is that he personally set the condition that suspends the democratic process. You don’t get to brag about being a democracy while putting elections on indefinite hold by your own decree.

Second, under Ukraine’s constitution, terms are finite, and elections are the mechanism to renew legitimacy. By suspending elections indefinitely, Zelenskyy effectively extended his mandate without voter approval. That’s the definition of sliding from elected president toward strongman. You can call it martial law, you can call it necessity, but the practical effect is one-man rule.

Third, history shows that leaders who cancel elections in wartime — Lincoln included — faced enormous criticism, but at least Lincoln still had functioning congressional opposition and an eventual vote. In Ukraine, media is muzzled, opposition parties banned, and elections suspended. Put those three together, and “dictator” isn’t a smear — it’s a description of the present facts.+

      • i never said it was the opposition calling for martial law. nope, not me.

yes, zelensky declared it. ukraine’s parliament approved it originally and has extended it 15 times, each time by well over 95% (357:1, 356:1). the people(polls show) and parliament approve (by enormous majorities). then like here in the US, zelensky signs the extension into law. https://www.kyivpost.com/post/51063

this is all russia’s doing. hard to imagine some people don’t see that. zelensky is much more popular than trump.

while at home trump is declaring national emergencies, consolidating power, micromanaging academia, law firms, trying to game elections and dispatching the military however he wants. trump even wants a say in who a company’s CEO should be and manage popular culture. “hey, i’ll be host at the melania trump center awards ceremony.’ but y’all worry more about democracy in ukraine.

  6. (“With no breakthrough at the Anchorage talks, is a disappointing Fall in the offing. Is Donald Trump overselling again?(Come on, is that even a question?)”)

Seriously why would Putin or Xi even remotely consider folding or giving in….In the shadow of all our failed diplomacy and hollow promises, a deeper reckoning is unfolding—one where the erosion of American sovereignty is masked by spectacle and slogans. The U.S. finds itself overextended militarily, economically compromised, and strategically out maneuvered by adversaries who’ve studied its blind spots for generations used the power of greed and opulence to corrupt. While leaders tout prosperity, the reality is a nation selling its soil, its ports, and its dignity to foreign powers—some of whom have long vowed vengeance from within. The dollar’s dominance wanes by the actions of the bric’s and over spending through endless wars, industries have crumbled by shipping them elsewhere, our youth dumbed down by a country more interested in control over an obsessed youth and an educational system that is to expensive to teach, a medical system that is so bad that the health of its citizens is unconcerned by those that swore to treat affliction through the Hippocratic oath, and the very laborers who built the nation bear the weight of these failed policies and the expenses of these endless wars of destruction thats designed to enrich the few. As Sun Tzu warned, division weakens empires, and Ron Paul’s call to bring our forces home echoes louder than ever today than the day he said it while running for office. This isn’t just a geopolitical shift—it’s a moral and existential one, demanding clarity, courage, and a return to the values that once made the homeland worth defending.Putin and Xi are not improvising—they’re orchestrating a long chess game rooted in ancient strategy and modern ambition. By uniting smaller nations under promises of infrastructure, protection, and shared grievance, they’re building a coalition not through brute force, but Gaining cooperation from usa industrialists and politicians through seduction—their greed, and deviant desires, and the lure of autonomy from Western dominance. It’s a masterstroke of psychological warfare in my opinion but then who am I an old moron from the wastelands of the usa. unedjumicated, they have been exploiting the very vulnerabilities the U.S. has cultivated through decades of overreach and internal decay and neglect by a political system of I do visuals more interested in their precious time off rather than dedication to work the problems for the good of the country.. While America disperses its strength across distant lands, selling off its soil and soul, these adversaries are embedding influence gaining the dependence of the people by the very industries we once held as our symbol of strength and resilience , and placed our weapons in places and hands of countries we no longer guard. The game isn’t about winning battles—it’s about reshaping the board itself and they have done that. And the pieces are already in motion.
but then I don’t know much..gotta look to the edjumicayed ones..but from my low view of the top tier..this is the long game poison pawn trap and our leaders didn’t even flinch at taming the hook..

      feat: Hotel Captain Cook

      Looking Out of the Box,

Don’t look now, but Natasha A. of the “Daily Mail” has presented revelations from the housekeeping department of the Hotel Captain Hook, Anchorage. Apparently documents of an Administration’s Ms. Crowley have entered the public domain regarding a meeting of Superpowers at The Arctic Warriors Event Center.

The menu began with a green salad followed by a choice of halibut or filet mignon for mains. Dessert brought creme brûlée. Let us patiently await arrival of the Servant of the People to Washington. Cake will be served?

      • (“Dessert brought creme brûlée.”)

you know I have been craving creme brulee this week..
        6 large egg yolks
6 tablespoons white sugar (plus extra for topping)
        ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
        2½ cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional, for topping)
Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Place 5 ramekins in a deep baking dish.

        Make the custard
Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
In a saucepan, heat cream until just about to boil.
Slowly whisk hot cream into the egg mixture to temper (avoid scrambling!). bake in a water bath like I do my bread..
        Creme Butler cheesecake…
4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
        1 cup sour cream
        1 cup granulated sugar
        4 large eggs
        ¼ cup all-purpose flour
        1½ tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste (or extract) I like real vanilla)
Prepare filling Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, sour cream, vanilla, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well. Add eggs one at a time, beating just until combined. now you can make the crust I just buy them already made..
sugar sprinkled on top..then torch the sugar..
A nephew going to culinary school makes a mean creme brulee..I think he puts extra vanilla in his.. but he won’t share his recipe.. next time he visits I’m going to ask home to whip up a batch then watch to see what his secret is.. like the white house pickled eggs..dam good..you’d take ten pounds of stomach muscle over night lol lol

      • They should have made salmon.. it a regional favorite and dam tasty to boot along with great cheese biscuits and home made salted butter ..Yummy..OMG now I have to get something to gnaw on..

1 large salmon fillet (about 2 lbs), skin-on
        ¼ cup brown sugar
        2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
        1 tablespoon olive oil
        1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder ( maybe more I like garlic )
½ teaspoon black pepper ( fresh ground)
        1 teaspoon salt ( I like pink salt )
        1 lemon, thinly sliced
Fresh dill or chives (optional for garnish)
1 cedar plank (soaked in water for at least 1 hour)

Soak the Plank Submerge the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning. You can add a splash of white wine or apple cider vinegar to the soak for extra aroma.if you use apple cider vinegar I get the natural one with the mother..
Make the Wet Rub In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, Dijon mustard, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into a paste.
Prep the Salmon Pat the salmon dry. Spread the wet rub evenly over the top. Lay lemon slices across the fillet…did I mention I love lemons
Preheat the Grill Heat your grill to medium-high (about 400°F). Place the soaked plank directly on the grates and close the lid for 2 minutes to start the smoking process.
Grill the Salmon Place the salmon skin-side down on the plank. Close the lid and grill for 15–20 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 135–140°F internally.
Finish and Serve Carefully remove the plank. Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with grilled vegetables, wild rice, or a chilled elderberry glaze if you’re feeling fancy.
Apple Cider Vinegar made using apple cider vinegar with the mother..
Apple scraps (cores, peels, bruised bits from 6–8 apples; avoid moldy ones)
2 tablespoons sugar (white or cane sugar works best)
Filtered water (chlorine-free; enough to cover the apples)
1–2 tablespoons raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar with the mother
Wide-mouth glass jar (quart or half-gallon size)
Cheesecloth or coffee filter + rubber band
        1. Prepare the Jar
Fill your clean jar about ¾ full with apple scraps. These will feed the fermentation.
        2. Add Sugar & Water
Dissolve sugar in filtered water and pour over the apple scraps until fully submerged. Leave about 1–2 inches of headspace.
        3. Inoculate with the Mother
Add your raw ACV with the mother. This introduces acetic acid bacteria to kickstart fermentation.
        4. Cover & Store
Cover the jar with cheesecloth or a coffee filter and secure with a rubber band. This allows airflow while keeping out fruit flies.
        5. Ferment (Phase 1: Alcohol)
Let the jar sit at room temperature (60–80°F) for 2–3 weeks. Stir daily with a wooden spoon to prevent mold. The sugars will convert to alcohol—essentially hard cider.
        6. Ferment (Phase 2: Vinegar)
After 2–3 weeks, strain out the solids. Return the liquid to the jar, cover again, and let it ferment for another 3–4 weeks. Taste periodically. It should become increasingly sour.
        7. Bottle & Store
Once it reaches your desired acidity, bottle it in a clean jar with a lid. Store in a cool, dark place. It will continue to mature over time.
now if your going to make a large batch..its similar to making wine or soy sauce etc.you can use a fermentation bucket with a vapor lock..

        • I should have said Himalayan salt not what could be mistaken for the preservative pink salt…

  7. Oh..a new bread recipe..

    2½ cups bread flour
2 tbsp nonfat dry milk powder
    ¼ cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp table salt
1 tbsp instant yeast or 1/2 cup of sour dough starter
    ½ cup whole milk (lukewarm)
    1 large egg
    4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
Mix rise fold form then second rise..
bake at Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush top with milk or egg wash. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and internal temp reaches 190°F…… now if you want you can do the first rise then refrigerate over night then second rise..I put the bread pan in a bigger pan with water on the bottom cover bake..

    • Hmm.. reminds me about the guy that asked hos doctor how to live to be a hundred….
The doctor asks the man “Well, that depends. Do you drink?”
“Oh, no sir! I abstain from all alcohol. Soda, too. I just drink plenty of fresh water.”
      “Do you smoke?”
“No, sir! Never smoked in my life, and I stay away from any place with second hand smoke.”
“Do you eat a lot of sugary and greasy foods?”
“No, sir! I carefully watch my diet and caloric intake, and I’m sure to eat plenty of vegetables.”
“Do you go to parties? Stay up late? Are you sexually promiscuous?”
“Not at all! Early to bed and early to rise! And abstinence is key.
The doctor raises an eyebrow at the man. “So… Why exactly do you want to live to be a hundred?”

  8. “With no breakthrough at the Anchorage talks, is a disappointing Fall in the offing.

“What we’re seeing (so far) hints the talks failed (skeptical to anti-Trump media) to inconclusive (the middle-of-the-road take on it).”

Exactly who has determined there was “no breakthrough” or that the Anchorage talks “failed?” What would have constituted “success” in the opinion of the people who say this? Putin signing a ceasefire in exchange for Trump, divvying up the various regions of Ukraine?

Anchorage was an unquestioned success, simply because Trump got Putin to meet up on our turf, and talk. That was what was intended by both Trump and the DoS, and while all the stupid lemmings wag their tongues, not a one noticed the, nearly 60 meetings which occurred between a whole bunch of American and Russian Secretaries and Ministers, on a whole range of topics, while Trump and Putin were talking and dining and occupying the cameras…

  9. “Zelenskyy To Meet Trump In Washington After Inconclusive Alaska Summit.”

Again, who has defined “conclusivity,” and why is their OPINION more valuable or important than mine. Y’all catching on yet? This isn’t news, this is opinion — propaganda, designed to project a narrative and establish a baseline by which to measure future accomplishments. When Mr. Trump establishes peace in Ukraine, the baseline will move to minimize his accomplishment. It has to be established though, before it can be moved. Has no one noticed how Leftist politics works?

  10. “What we found most curious – and it screams to us that Trump DoJ might be nearing indictments of Hillary Clinton and her cadre of unspeakables is reading how Hillary says she’ll nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize, but conditions apply.”

This isn’t about the Nobel Prize, it is about delineating how the media will define Trump’s efforts with respect to Ukraine. One of Hillary’s “conditions” is that “Ukraine gives up no territory.” This includes all the area of the Donbas, Crimea, and the Russian territory Ukraine has invaded and occupied.

This is an impossible condition. Russia will surrender no Russian territory and it will fight an unlimited nuclear war and destroy the world, if necessary, to keep its warm-water port at Sevastopol, Crimea. Hillary knows this. Therefore she is using “Nobel Peace Prize” as a political tool to defame Trump and minimize his accomplishments, and not as a meaningful gambit.

Hillary can’t be indicted, because of that darn “statute of limitations” thing, unless Patel finds enough evidence to charge her with treason or to establish her past activities as “ongoing.” Hillary is very smart and very clever. She has bitched and moaned about the 2016 Election ever since she lost, but AFAIK she has not provably crossed any line of legality in years. People who could testify otherwise tend to develop a “remorse for life” or “terminal carelessness,” thereby ceasing to be potential witnesses in any untoward activities…

    • MURDER has no Statute of Limitations .. but I am sure both her and Bill were intelligent enough to keep their personal fingers away from a number of actions that were DONE ON THEIR BEHALF.

(of course Bill’s declarations “I did NOT have sex with that woman” does raise the question in one’s mind about just how bright Bill Clinton really is when his lips are flapping)

  11. “Are things really looking Up? NASA Probe Could Intercept Interstellar Comet, Scientists Say.”

And do what? That [whatever it is] is moving at 233,000 MPH, last I heard. At that speed, a speck of dust will destroy the probe. I suppose we could move it to within a few thousand miles, to get a better look. A better use might be to dock with the “comet” and hitch a really fast ride to infinity (while hoping no other civilization finds “Veeger” and sends it back to us…)

  12. An interesting concept in OK that could be linked to ‘thought readers’ as the ultimate proof. People who think & believe a certain way is who they are and have nothing to hide.
