Today we draw an uncomfortable but increasingly relevant parallel: Southern California may become America’s Gaza.
The radical left, which has been working for decades to destroy America, really “strutted their stuff” starting Friday with violent protests in Los Angeles over ICE and other federal agencies doing their jobs.
Elaine and I were abhorred as L.A. mayor Karen Bass talked out of both sides of her mouth. Trying to dog-whistle the left’s “right to protest” (mainly gangs and insurrectionists manipulating media on the one hand), while reassuring more lawfully-minded Californian’s that blocking freeways was not “free speech.” Political gobbledygook.
But you wouldn’t know it, watching events unfold as we did last night.
Aspect |
Gaza |
SoCal |
---|---|---|
Foreign Support |
Iran and Radical Islam: Iran provides financial and military support to Hamas and other militant groups, funneling weapons and funds through proxies to sustain conflict against Israel. Radical Islamic ideologies amplify recruitment and ideological cohesion among fighters, perpetuating cycles of violence. |
Mexican Cartels: Cartels like Sinaloa and CJNG could exploit civil unrest in SoCal, supplying weapons, drugs, or mercenaries to local gangs. Their cross-border networks and profit-driven motives could destabilize urban areas, mirroring foreign interference in Gaza. |
Oil/Energy |
Gaza Petroleum Basin: The Gaza Marine gas field, with estimated reserves of 1 trillion cubic feet, remains untapped due to Israeli restrictions and conflict. Control over these resources fuels economic desperation and geopolitical tensions. |
SoCal Oil and Gas: Southern California’s oil fields (e.g., Wilmington, Inglewood) and refineries are critical to regional energy. Disruptions from civil unrest could spike fuel prices, cripple transport, and exacerbate economic strain, paralleling Gaza’s resource-driven conflicts. |
Polarizing American Left |
Via Jewish Americans: The Gaza conflict polarizes Jewish Americans, with some supporting Israel’s actions and others, especially younger progressives, criticizing its policies. This fractures community cohesion and fuels domestic debates over U.S. foreign policy. |
Via Embedded S.A. Gangs: South American gangs (e.g., MS-13, 18th Street) embedded in SoCal could align with or exploit leftist causes, radicalizing protests. Their involvement risks escalating demonstrations into organized violence, deepening societal divides. |
Strongman Leadership |
Netanyahu: Benjamin Netanyahu’s hardline stance, including arming anti-Hamas clans and rejecting ceasefires, prioritizes military dominance over diplomacy, prolonging conflict despite domestic and international criticism. |
Trump: Donald Trump’s polarizing leadership, with rhetoric favoring decisive action, could embolden militias or vigilante groups in SoCal. His influence might frame unrest as a call for “law and order,” escalating tensions akin to Netanyahu’s approach. |
Criminal Networks |
Israeli-Backed Gangs: Criminal clans like the Abu Shabab group, armed by Israel to counter Hamas, loot aid and destabilize Gaza. Their impunity under Israeli protection undermines governance and fuels chaos. |
Local Gangs and Opportunists: SoCal gangs (e.g., Crips, Bloods) or opportunistic looters could exploit protest chaos, seizing resources or territory. Weakened law enforcement during unrest could allow these groups to operate unchecked, mirroring Gaza’s gang problem. |
Infrastructure Destruction |
Systematic Demolition: Israeli forces have destroyed Gaza’s homes, hospitals, and utilities, potentially to prevent returns and reshape demographics. This creates a humanitarian crisis and fuels resentment. |
Urban Decay and Sabotage: Prolonged unrest in SoCal could lead to infrastructure sabotage (e.g., power grids, water systems) or neglect, degrading urban livability. Arson or riots could mirror Gaza’s destruction, straining recovery efforts. |
Population Displacement |
Forced Relocation: Proposals to relocate Gaza’s population (e.g., to Libya) reflect ethnic cleansing fears, with 1 million Palestinians potentially displaced. This exacerbates the humanitarian crisis and radicalizes communities. |
Urban Exodus: Violence in SoCal could drive middle-class flight to suburbs or other states, leaving poorer communities behind. Gentrification or gang control of abandoned areas could reshape demographics, echoing Gaza’s displacement. |
Militarized Response |
Israeli Military Dominance: Israel’s expanded offensives, controlling all of Gaza, prioritize security over civilian welfare, escalating violence and resistance. |
Police and National Guard: Escalating protests in SoCal could trigger heavy-handed police or National Guard deployments, risking militarized crackdowns. This could radicalize demonstrators, paralleling Gaza’s cycle of repression and rebellion. |
Media and Propaganda |
Controlled Narratives: Both Hamas and Israel manipulate media to justify actions, with looting blamed on rivals to deflect responsibility. This polarizes global opinion and obscures truths. |
Social Media Amplification: In SoCal, viral misinformation on platforms like X could inflame tensions, with gangs or activists spreading narratives to recruit or demonize opponents, mirroring Gaza’s propaganda wars. |
Economic Collapse |
Blockade and Famine: Israel’s blockade and looting by gangs have crippled Gaza’s economy, with famine looming and aid distribution collapsing. |
Supply Chain Disruptions: Riots or strikes in SoCal could disrupt ports (e.g., Long Beach), food supply chains, and local businesses, leading to shortages and economic panic, akin to Gaza’s collapse. |
We could only watch for a few hours, but the obvious pandering of Bass and California’s (alleged) governor was enough to sicken. Using the concept mapping above, we are pretty sure that all sides will be “doubling-down” either immediately, or in coming weeks. We suggest concept mapping, though we think people will only have to “open their eyes to see it.” A Palestinian/Gaza flag was waved on one of the burning EVs as we watched. Selfies in front of burning cars…media madness is communicable!
Oh, we’d like to thank the Soros family which, through its foundations has been underwriting a vastly different vision than ours of what American progress is. As they are attempting to buy up non-English domestic media, is showing the cynical just how monetization of violent change can be scripted.
The Media Gaslight Continues
Foreign coverage of the “American Gaza” has been mixed. What to know about protests in LA as Trump orders in National Guard but more partisanship wafts from California to Sue Trump for ‘Illegal’ National Guard Mobilization | TIME.
Trump administration officials have limited Guard use to protection of federal workers and property (so far). And if you weren’t impressed with California’s governor before this weekend, Protests intensify in LA: Governor compares Trump to ‘a dictator’. Meanwhile, our sympathies are with the law-abiding Americans (and people with legal entry paperwork) as the “gruesome” reviews come in. ‘Absolutely horrible job’: Trump slams Newsom, Bass over Los Angeles riots.
Short column here today. As good a time as any to bite my tongue and not overstate of “the obvious”. Although for our Peoplenomics.com subscribers, we’d refer you back to forecasts we made a decade (and more) ago:
- April 8, 2015: We look at the possibility of a massive overnight in-migration to the US as drought pressure is building in Mexico and Central America.
- July 9, 2014: The current immigration disaster along the Mexico border has been in planning since Ronald Reagan times and was then known as Border XXI – as it rolls out now.
- And from 20-years ago: 03/05/2005 April: War with Mexico? It looks like 1,000 Minutemen may show up to help Border Patrol but what will MS-13 do?
Well, now we know.
Wall Street was in full-on waffle mode earlier, with futures about even. Bitcoin’s over $107,000 (Cartel moving assets?),
Yep, color us skeptical but not without reason. We’d also offer (free advice) that Media is walking right into the two-bit revolutionary’s BS: WATCH: CNN Describes LA Riots As ‘Lawful Protests’ With ‘Some Unrest’. With friends like this…
Meanwhile, the Left has gotten very good at law-faring in our view. Take the case where SCOTUS declines to hear student’s appeal in ‘There Are Only Two Genders’ t-shirt case | The College Fix. Which means wearing a shirt stating a scientific fact (or, used to be…) can’t be done among the mush-headed. We’ve moved Massachusetts up the “targeting list” for the 2BRI (2-bit revolutionary insurrectionists). Your assessment may vary. We think if the Massy student had worn a multiple genders marketing slogan (offensive to straights) his “free speech” would have been upheld.
Thus, with the Supreme Court deeply conflicted (side of control files with that?) there’s little point in writing a longer column this morning. Oh, wait….
More Streams and Screams
Not Russian “payback” but an oddity: Explosion rocks US air base in Japan. The West is still on edge waiting for payback which explains Russia bombards Ukraine with 479 drones overnight, Ukrainian air force says.
Where’s my cynicism meds? Saw Israel Intercepts Gaza-Bound Aid Ship With Greta Thunberg Aboard – The New York Times. Sparked a question whether she would “head to L.A. to show “solidarity” or some-such, next? Maybe Trump should add a country? Trump travel ban barring citizens from 12 countries takes effect.
Trade is still up in the air (and may be until L.A. fully rejoins Union): Tariffs: US and China set to meet for trade talks in London.
Around the Ranch: Booking Progress
On-track for release of my second novel in the David Shannon adventure series. It should be on Kindle before the Fourth of July – thanks to the head of our Houston Bureau who is furiously reading and fixing errors.
The first book in that series was DreamOver which I wrote in 2017. This next book (“The Eisenhower Memo”) is a prequel. It recounts events after WW II where Ike supposedly signed a deal with an Alien civilization to put the Earth in runaway consumption mode in order to remain manageable. The protagonist is Reed Shannon, the fathers of DreamOver‘s David Shannon.
Book 3 in the series will involve David Shannon’s brother Brandon. Who is a leading psychologist (and NP in gerontology). He’s been doing work in why some people “die slow and sudden” but other people take “slow exits” from life; diseases like vascular dementia/Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and the like. Over the course of the novel he uncovers something medicine has ignored about how we all age. “Harvesting Sunset” is a nod to why some people need time to “pre-think Death” – so they pick the slow train out. While in the greater scheme of things, there are lessons for care-givers, too.
Final book in the series (CoDreamers), returns to focus on David Shannon and his wife Laurel as they try to beat the “destruction of Earth” as The Accord (the aliens from book #2) show up to destroy the whole planet. They escape by “Co-Dreaming” to a family planet. Which – if you read our discussion in last week’s column about how adjacent realities are “stacked” (in the column here about the afterlife schema), it will make a lot more sense.
So – as we amble first to Juneteenth and then onto the Fourth, Ure will write less here and more there.
The only question is which will be axed first: ShopTalk Sunday columns, or the Friday morning Urban column? Lemme know.
I wrote about 59,000 words (Urban columns, Peoplenomics, Hidden Guild, and the second half of the novel) last week. Really prolific writers, like Stephen King, do about 2,000 words a day.
Enjoy the hell out of it, but ain’t there supposed to be a…what do they call it? Retirement! Yeah, that’s it…

Stu- I noticed you were applying for Medicare Parts A & B ahead of an impending layoff. That’s a good move. A colleague of mine who had worked into his seventies without getting on board required two years to get his application approved, to avoid severe penalties. If you have employer’s insurance, the Medicare becomes secondary. A couple of my doctor’s have gotten better at getting Medicare to pick up whatever charges the primary doesn’t. Just don’t apply for Parts C or D while you are on employer’s insurance, because the employer can use that as an excuse to dump you. Be sure to collect info from the employer that indicates their policy is Medicare equivalent, because you will need it when you apply for Parts C or D. Best to get an account on the SS and Medicare web sites as well. It makes applications a lot easier.
And study the hell out of Medicare Advantage plans. We have been *deleriously* happy with the AARP/United healthcare MAP (medicare advantage plan) but there may bne even better out there.,..look widely
irt: Medicare Advantage – I used to offer all lines of insurance coverage but farmed business out to a local agency (health, P&C, umbrella Liability, all of it). It really doesn’t matter much which carrier you use, the plans (by Federal requirements) all cover more or less the same of everything. Because, if Medicare would pay it your Medicare Advantage plan will too. It’s the base. Then every carrier adds sweeteners to taste. Always, Egor
Concur wrt Medicare Advantage Plans
Very happy with my Medicare Advantage Plan through Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, but for Anthem the plans vary not just per state but also per metro area.
My health insurance broker, and good friend, who sells all the big plans tells me that if I travel a LOT there is a better plan … and if I summer here and winter somwhere else there is a better plan. If I live overseas part of the year there is a yet different seet of options He knows the details about EACH plan, which is what you want with your broker … you do NOT want a broker who only sell’s one company’s plan.
I gave up a little bit of deductable (just a little) to be with my Anthem plan because it also covers Air Ambulance (ie: the helicopter ride) if needed and the other plans that fit my need DID NOT cover those at all, or topped out at a ridiculous low amount!!
The average helicopter ride in my state is in the $25,000 to $40,000 range depending upon which company they call (YOU lhave no choice in that decision if one is needed) and can actually go up to $60k-$70k if a longer distance ride is neede to a very specialize place.
I didn’t want the risk of being hit with a tens of thousands of dollars uncoveredd helicopter ride expenses in case one was ever called in, even though living in the city the risk is low – for me would probably only apply when traveling or on vacation in a rural location. Remember if going to a smaller or mid size hospital then a hospital to hospital ride may be neede in some cases. I know SEVERAL people in smaller towns with smaller hospitals that have been hit with those hospital to hospital ride bills … which are real expensive shocker if your insurance doesn’t cover them.
Check out ALL the options … and yep get signed up early and make sure it dovetails with your employer plan if you are still employed (or on a spouse’s employer plan – OUCH, my agent tells me about some wives that did NOT sign up when eligible because their spouse was working who then ended up signing up LATE which caused them to pay through the nose, or lose certain coverages FOR LIFE)
You know.. after I dumped united we went with Etna at the VA I pay fifty bucks drs. visit fifteen for generic up to 175 for name brand.. we don’t have a lot of choice in the wastelands in comparison .. but if I go to the clinic rather than the VA healthcare system a drs. visit is covered copay zero medications so far all of mine zero at the local pharmacy.
huge difference.. now.. I needed ear drops picked them up at the local pharmacy nothing it was covered..the wife has the exact same policy I have..but she gets her medications at walmart.. funny her doctor wanted her to get the exact same ear drops I had just picked up.. went to pick them up at the Wal-Mart pharmacy.. almost a hundred dollars..we don’t have the hundred dollars it could have been a million for all I care..so we didn’t pick them up.. the wife is using mine..
united can K,M,A I fought with them for two years to pay what they were suppose to pay.. only two grand but for me its a fortune..I told the agent just tell them to send me the eat shirt and die letter..instead they sent two hundred..the dentist was covered at care credit at 39.5% the dam interest is over a hundred a month alone.. I truly wish we had the variety of policies available here that are everywhere else.. my sibling has a good one to..he gets free care at the va..lol lol.. I told him what in the hell did you do to get that..your nose isn’t brown and your knees aren’t dirty..lol lol
Many thanks for that tip. I have a medicare advisor. I am trying to keep the Doctors that I have had for the last 25-years. I will ask her about that.
Already have an SS account, and I submitted the right paperwork. I need it to all come together before July 1st.
I’ll ask about MAP. Again, thanks!
George,
Thanks for the opportunity to vote, and I would choose to keep ShopTalk Sunday. It’s all a good read whichever you decide to go with.

BCP,
You’ve likely heard about the fictional Ancient Egyptian cult of Penew-Nekhet, Cult of the Conquering Mouse (per the Idiot Joy Showland blogging of Mr. Sam Criss).
As chance would have it on the cusp of LA riots, the Duchess of Sussex lately of Montecito has posted a picture montage reel to “Instagram” of her daughter’s 4th birthday celebration spent with the family at Disneyland. Here’s the “Instagram” link with wardrobe changes where at least three went to the space station and somebody even lost their sandals and ponytail by the end. I have no idea why parts of a mid-reel pickles and corndogs image made the reel title cover, but maybe it’s whatever suits.

It’s nice so many peeps in the community urge George to follow through on threats to cut back. I dunna think it works for (semi retired) journos. A bud, former Trib. Editor, handed off after locating his replacement. Hats off to my fellow, he ran the hard copy Yacht Club weekly / winter monthly, since I asked him to take the thing over in 1999. I’m quite sure every week (now) he has pangs / qualms. But, we all need to shed the mantle eventually? George, the WordSlinger? Nope. He’s hooked (ahem, prove me wrong George, I _double_ dare you). See you Sunday? Always, Egor
Agree with Egor. I had a college professor like George. He thought with his fingers at a keyboard. Couldn’t stop. If you MUST cut back, do keep the Shop Talk Sunday!
The local ham club has a ‘retired’ newspaper journalist who can’t let go, either. We keep her busy writing the monthly club bulletin… which is an excellent newspaper now!

re: “War Birds”, 1933 (PBF)
feat: W. Faulkner; not produced
BCP,
Thanks for that. Apparently William Faulkner was into streams of consciousness, so I will ramble on. Earlier this evening I scrolled through various Telegram channels including “Follow the White Rabbit”. I saw a post there by another channel (I didn’t catch the name before the post got deleted.) advising of Epstein files being available for download. The admin wanted my name and email which I didn’t give. That was that.
Anyhow the admin was messaging via a fintech company channel. The company name is recorded in the UK government registry as being managed by a 37 year old national of India. The “office” is akin to a maildrop rental operating out of the Fergusson Block, City Road, London (built in 1880) and now gentrifying.
As an aside, the structure next door dating to 1903 presently houses a hotel, but originally had Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, as patroness. One of the Tetley brother (tea?) philanthropists constructed the building to feed 1,000 working poor people at a time while charging them inexpensive prices.
The fintech company doesn’t seem to have much going on outside the digital world. However, there could appear to be a past business relationship of sorts with a 5th generation family-held financial institution in Pine Bluff, Wy. The latter entity was cofounded in 1915 by a Wyoming state senator and a US Army veteran.
Interestingly Grider Field (Pine Bluff Municipal Airport, Ar.), PBF, is named after WW1 US fighter pilot John M. Grider who was tragically shot down over France on June 18, 1918. The surname Grider is said to derive from the French surname Greslet, “the one marked by hail”. Currently Grider airfield serves general aviation purposes.
Passengers requiring scheduled air service would be directed to nearby Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. A tweet at the following link described in the public domain as pertaining to Mssrs. Epstein and Clinton vis-a-vis lands surrounding PBF has been deleted at some point:
https://x.com/suziparker/status/1743809278878638430
However investigative journalist Suzi Parker may now have those details behind a paywall at “South Arkansas Reckoning”. I didn’t proceed further in my ramblings.
Holey Moley! Did you see how many protests are scheduled for the 14th under “events.” And international.
re: Musk you ask?
feat: Visigoths pillage LA
Folks,
One imagines comrade neighbors in America are perhaps in withdrawal following retreat of the Artful Doger from Washington corridors of power. As chance would have it, his father has shown up for “Forum of the Future – 2050” organized by “Tsargrad TV” and commencing today in Moscow.
Last week Mr. Errol Musk enjoyed a fêted visit in Ayodha, India. It’s a former abode of Buddha and birthplace of the Hindu god Rama. The city shouldn’t be confused with Ambala, India. That was the birthplace of Mr. Kim Philby of the infamous Cambridge Five.
Yesterday Russia’s oligarch-owned “Tsargrad (‘Constantinople’) TV” released an English language interview with Mr. Musk Sr. upon the occasion of his first visit to Moscow. He compared the Russian capital to what Ancient Rome must have looked like. Perhaps his trip has been arranged by the “International Russophile Movement”? Here is a “Tsargrad TV” video interview link uploaded by user “Russophile” to the “VK” social media platform:
https://vk.com/video_ext.php?oid=-228729348&id=456239039
Also the “Tsargrad TV” website offers a Russian language rundown on the “Forum of the Future” confab at the following link. Just click on the “Jetsons” car flyby of a Russian Orthodox Church image occupied by a white family with suit-attired father figure. Surely it’s premature to be thinking a Moscow Gigafactory could churn those out anytime soon.

With the chance of getting in trouble with other Peoplenomics subscribers, I am going to make a suggestion to Ure majesty for a controlled retirement plan.
Cut out Tuesday and Thursday Urban survival columns. Keep the rest. Maintain the excellent Wednesday and Saturday Peoplenomics columns.
Your subscription was $40 when I joined 6 years ago. Bump your Peoplenomics subscription to $99 annually ($.95 per issue, $8.25 per month). Use the additional revenue to fund the retirement, write your books and spend more quality time with Elaine.
I will be happy to stay as a subscriber and appreciate the good value of this website as long as it exists. I hope most of your subscribers agree.
Agree. Shop talk Sunday is great.
Today is a ‘national’ holiday here. Kids playing in the water, no school, all normal life is shut off for today. So quiet. Go fishing. Eat. Make some music. Nap. There is no LA.

Mayhaps Ure open to overseeing a contest for Ure successor(s), voted on by Ure faithful readers.
Or . . . you could become the editor-in-chief of a reader fueled site, deciding what makes the grade and what doesn’t, sort of a ‘letters to the editor’ concept, but U-B the editor, providing comment to submissions only when you have the time or feel that it is worthy.
Unfortunately I sense that ring master Ure has a bad addiciton problem … as bad as that as any hooked Junkie sleeping in the dark alleys of Philadelphia or LA. Uretopia is obviously housing a couple of human addicts who can’t self cure their addictions so it is time for us to help! (Elaine to her wild cats and the Ring Master addiction to needing to make things somewhat magically appear on computer screens daily)
A sudden and complete stoppage of engaging in the addiction seems to be out of the range of possibility which means that a slow withdrawal will be required. I vote for elminating the Tuesday /Thursday computer typing sessions, though Tuesday and Friday would work maybe even better since it would give the Ring Master some extra time to work on his Saturday addiction problem
As for how he will obtain more funds so he can pay for his addiction counseling an immediate step up to $50/year (only a $10/year increase) should be implemented along with a long term Robber Baron Approach that uses the sneaky price increase businss model to slowly increasing that such that nobody notices the prices going up over time … say to $5/mo ie: $60/year, by year end. Like any good Financier Class business then he could then slowly slip in regular price increases which people would barely notice!! (like my favorite coffee company has now been doing for the last 2 years …. a little more each month with the coffee can size now having also been cut twice in the last two years) .
Time to get a grip George … and admit you are a serious addict. Time for some professional help from your loyal friends, your readers of Urban Survival … and take to heart their willingness to help you cure your addiction, one small step at a time.

Speaking of the Sunday column….
Pull a fast one on the audience and get A.I. to write the column… or make the column cutting edge and broadcast on Zoom w/A.I. host and A.I. guests and some A.I. audience participants. Easy way to manufacture a bandwagon. The chatbots could become agitators.
“Saw Israel Intercepts Gaza-Bound Aid Ship With Greta Thunberg Aboard – The New York Times.”
George, I really wish you’d quit linking to the NYT and other publications some of us don’t want in possession of our E-Mail addies.
I get tired of hacking them to steal enough of their content to know what you’re talking about:
________
Israel Intercepts Gaza-Bound Aid Ship
Footage from the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and the Israeli authorities shows what happened when Israel diverted a civilian ship, with Greta Thunberg onboard, that was headed to Gaza.
“Guys, oh, my God.” “Into the water. Throw it over. Calm down, everyone — please, calm down. Yes, everything’s going to be all right. Calm down.” Hey, guys, wait. No.”

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said early on Monday morning that a Gaza-bound ship carrying a dozen pro-Palestinian activists and some aid had been diverted toward Israeli shores and that its passengers were expected to return to their home countries.
Israel had vowed on Sunday to prevent the ship from reaching Gaza, saying its military would use “any means necessary” to stop it from breaching an Israeli naval blockade of the enclave.
The civilian ship, called the Madleen, has been operating under the auspices of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, an international grass-roots campaign that opposes the nearly two-decade-old blockade of Gaza. The ship set sail from Sicily on June 1. The passengers included the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and Rima Hassan, a member of the European Parliament.
“The ‘selfie yacht’ of the ‘celebrities’ is safely making its way to the shores of Israel,” the Israeli foreign ministry wrote on social media on Monday. It accused “Greta and others” of attempting “to stage a media provocation whose sole purpose was to gain publicity.” The ministry later posted video of what it said were the passengers, who were wearing life jackets and being offered sandwiches and water.
The posts came soon after the Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced that alarms had sounded and drones were over the ship, then said it had lost contact with the Madleen. The group said the activists had been “kidnapped” by the Israeli military
Surveillance footage recorded early Monday aboard the Madleen shows people in the cockpit wearing orange life vests as the bright lights of another vessel approach. People can then be seen boarding the Madleen.

And after stealing this page, I have no idea whether the NYT mentioned that the Israelis put the, roughly 20′ box full of foodstuffs and meds which were aboard the Madleen into a truck and delivered it to the Gazans, just like the 200,000 or so trucks full of Israeli foodstuffs and meds they’ve already delivered. I also don’t know if the NYT article mentioned the passengers of the Madleen were treated to several hours of the video Hamas recorded and broadcast while they were on their rape, pillage, murder spree. I suspect Greta may well head for L.A. because I doubt after viewing those vids she’ll EVER return to Gaza.
If I gave an actual f*** I’d retrieve the original from AFP, but I don’t, so I didn’t…
” WATCH: CNN Describes LA Riots As ‘Lawful Protests’ With ‘Some Unrest’”
Wasn’t it a CNN “reporter” who coined the “mostly peaceful protests” phrase during the Floyd “protests” in Minneapolis, while rioters were burning the police station, behind him…?
The lamestream media can simply not conceive the possibility that their viewership is smart enough to believe their eyes, over the drivel the “news” faces are spouting.
Lol lol…I got a tickle from the wife.. we went to the store she needed some buttons for a shirt she is making for herself.. anyway we went there and she stopped in an isle..then you could see her eyes get big and she says..oh no we have to get out of this isle..it had dawned on her..we were standing in the middle of the kitchen gadget isle..lol lol lol
anyway my wife asked ..why did you buy egg roll wrappers..
because I’m planning on making egg rolls..lol lol
my grand daughter graduated.. and at her reception her uncle.. ( A friend of mine retired air force colonel) his wife is Philippines.. beautiful woman great cook..she made a ton of egg rolls.. one of the worlds comfort foods.. its basically a pasta wrap goes back tens of thousands of years..called many things in every country .. she gave me her egg roll recipe..
I had dragged an old disk out of the scrap pile and had it made into a wok.. for camping..
https://youtu.be/tCedMeBc5Kk?si=knQdPxsJW835zF1h
I was thinking of using that instead of the traditional wok..
but an easier way to make fried noodle or burrito etc.. is with the frying saucer..
https://youtu.be/4FHetgXBw3s?si=nCp04-CNZYRtHV62
the frying saucer is wonderful for patio get togethers.. we don’t get much company so we don’t use it much.. its like a fondue pot or the Japanese Tempura pot.. great but seriously you don’t use it much..I like fried foods the wife likes baked..

I love this style to..what’s nice is in the top there’s a place for a thermometer and the thermometer they send has preferred temp marking on it..https://www.amazon.com/Yopay-Stainless-Thermometer-Japanese-Diameter/dp/B08LBG9Q96/ref=sr_1_15?
In Filipino, the wraps are ‘Lumpia’. Banana Lumpia is one of my favored deserts here. Slice a cooking banana in half, wrap, and deep fry. We have Filipino families here who are ‘roadside cooks’ with their vegetable stands. On weekends they cook up all kinds of Filipino foods. It has become a Saturday mandatory lunch here.
Pancit and Lumpia…Yum .
Filipino Senior Chiefs Daughter – triple YUM!
Hey, at least all my friends will be there too..
gotta coin?
If you like electrifying films or books like The Day of the Jackal, Ungentlemanly Warfare or The Courier, why not forget about fictional agents like Bond and Bourne dashing to save the world from disaster? Why not forget about CIA and MI6 officers reclining on their couches dreaming up espionage scenarios to thrill you?
Check out what a real MI6 and CIA secret agent does nowadays. Why not browse through TheBurlingtonFiles website at https://theburlingtonfiles.org and read about Bill Fairclough’s escapades when he was an active MI6 and CIA agent? The website is rather like an espionage museum without an admission fee … and no adverts.
You’ll soon be immersed in a whole new world you won’t want to exit. Shame no one has released any films yet based upon TheBurlingtonFiles but that may change – see our Film Pitch about The Spy Who Would Not Die at https://theburlingtonfiles.org/news_2025.04.21.php.
Then browse through https://theburlingtonfiles.org/news_2023_06.07.php and https://theburlingtonfiles.org/news_2022.10.31.php and don’t miss the most recent news articles including the contrast twixt the fictional James Bond and a real secret agent at https://theburlingtonfiles.org/news_2024.09.13.php.
After that experience you may not know who to trust so best read Beyond Enkription, the first novel in The Burlington Files series. It’s a noir fact based spy thriller that may shock you. What is interesting is that this book is apparently mandatory reading in some countries’ intelligence agencies’ induction programs. Why? Maybe because the book is not only realistic but has been heralded by those who should know as “being up there with My Silent War by Kim Philby and No Other Choice by George Blake”.
It is an enthralling read as long as you don’t expect fictional agents like Ian Fleming’s incredible 007 to save mankind or John le Carré’s couch potato yet illustrious Smiley to send you to sleep with his delicate diction, sophisticated syntax and placid plots.
