Honing Trading Skills – While Driving!

Since we can’t talk on cell phones and text, surely there must be something we can do that’s useful. Other than run over people who bother us and swearing at the top of our lungs…

Quite by accident this week, I invented a new way to hone my personal trading skills while driving.  You see, I was on the way back to the wild lands with a big load of groceries when…well, we’ll get to the story in a sec.

But wanted to mention there is a Holiday just two weeks away.  And my consigliere has a fine discourse on why the U.S. Navy should not be involved in boating, anymore.

That and a few miserable headlines before I break into a sweat. Because this is the Dog Days of summer.  And since dog body temperatures run 103-degrees Fahrenheit, sounds to us like things are going to the dogs in the forecast for us today.

Headlines, charts, story-time and a snooze; sounds like all the movement I can handle.

  1. Just a note on prescription drugs as noted by d’Lynn yesterday. The wife (lovely Lady) has a heart medication, Exforgehct, for which she pays $60 here (Costa Rica) out of pocket as we don’t have insurance. Pricing it in the USofA she saw a price of $360 (no insurance) for a mear difference of $300.
Still living very well in Costa Rica on our SS income.
    Cheers

    • The cost for Exforge HCT (10 mg-12.5 mg-160 mg) oral tablet is around $387 for a supply of 30 tablets, depending on the pharmacy you visit.
However, there is a generic brand that runs $38.50 for 30 tablets., available at most drug counters.
Still living well in the U.S. of A. [ you just have to do a little more homework here to make it all work.]

      • Yeah, homework. I had a cold sore that went into my central nervous system causing a brain infection that damn near killed me. So I am now dependent on an antiviral drug daily to keep it suppressed. Brand Name is over $2,000 for 90 tabs. Generic is $300. With my insurance the copay is $90. Then I found the GoodRx coupons, shopped around local pharmacies, and now pay $67 for 90 tabs. Still outrageous. I hate being ‘drug dependent’.

    • Exforge hct is listed locally at $367 for 30 tabs. However, there is generic brand that lists for $38.50 for 30 tabs. Available at most pharmacies., if you know about it.
Still living good in the U.S. of A.
[ Just have to work at it a little harder than before.]

      • Before Canada totally shut it’s border because of Covid one of the local “Tour Bus Companies” ran day trip busses to Canada a couple of times a month just so Seniors could get cheap prescription drugs.

First they would start by stopping by several of the biggest retirement homes in the city and then head towards Canada.

One needed a Canadian Doctor’s prescription so first they would stop by a street that had LOTS of Doctors on it, drop off those who needed to see a Canadian Doc, then go a couple of streets over the the pharmacy street, drop off people that needed to get their drugs, and then circle over to the Casino. They would make that circuit several times during the day so people could jump on and off the bus as needed.

At the end of the day they picked up everybody over at the casino and drove back home again dropping off the people at the Retirement home where they had gotten on the bus.

Free Enterprise at work!! … only people hurt were the American Drug Companies who were selling the exact same company’s drugs at 10x and even 20x what the same drug could be obtained for in Canada.

Haven’t paid attention since Canada finally re-opened but I do know most people I know locally who needed Insulin were making regular trips to Canada so to get it at 5 to 10 cents on the dollar before Trudeau closed the border.

        • we use to have a pharmacy here.. they would fax the script to Canada have a doctor write it there and mail it overnight.. then congress passed something and the pharmacy had to close .

    • Can drive 20 minutes to the Mexican border for drugs.

$229 in the United States with out insurance plus doctor prescription. With insurance it is $10 plus doctor prescription.

My cost $20 at pharmacy. No other costs. Plus I have Global Entry/Sentri. So did not have to wait any line at the border.

Enjoy Costa Rica. A beautiful country

      • Agreed on with the Mexican pharmas, if they have the product you need! The only problem is the damned prescriptions! Border control wants to see a prescription from an American doctor! Having no prescription or even one from a Mexican pharma or MD is technically not valid, though it may possibly pass. I think the same is true for dentists and optho guys. You can probably just pass on through if they’re not paying too much attention, but if they ask you directly, you’re lying to a LEO, and that could become trouble. How in hell do you get the prescriptions you need without getting second guessed by an MD that disagrees with you? They always want tests and other nonsense, and then it gets recorded in the American “health data” system. What might be a $20 transaction for pills could cost many hundreds of dollars just to get the prescription, if you get it at all!

  2. Here’s one for the Woo Woo Dept.
Last night,on the day that Matthew Perry’s death once again becomes fresh copy,a horse named Chandler Bing won his first ever race at Indiana’s Hoosier Park, paying $126 for 2 bucks. Not a bad ROI.When the horse was about to cross the finish line, the track announcer said:”Could he be any more victorious?”

    • When it came to horses my Dad’s admonition always comes to mind: …. “All horses ever do is Eat Money and Shit”.

Had the chance over the years to buy into ownership of several race horses, old boss had a real eye for horses and actually made money off of them, only person I have ever met in my life who managed to do that. He was the first one to offer me the chance to be a partial Race Horse Owner. WOW what an opportunity to be part of the “Racing Crowd”. However remembering my Dad’s admonition I turned him down, just as I have with all the other “offers” over the years.

Still horse free after all these years … and intend to stay that way!! … though the Racing Crowd does put on nice parties.

      • LOL! When I bought this place way back when, the sellers wanted to sell two horses along with the place for $7000. I declined, and they just gave them to us(at the time I had a family). We kept them for a couple of years and fed/watered them, and even rode them once or twice. Eventually we gave them away and stopped the losses.

  3. George..,
Just made a small post and spelled my name with the apostrophe after the small d.., as I have since – well., always.. [ d’Lynn ] and I got the same “Access Denied” message.
I dropped the apostrophe, reposted and it went right through. How is it that an apostrophe in a name, which I have used here since I signed-on, can suddenly be a glitch in the matrix ??
I have no explanation for that.

    • “How is it that an apostrophe in a name, which I have used here since I signed-on, can suddenly be a glitch in the matrix ??”

Welcome to the wonderful world of “updates.”

We usually see it when Google or Microsoft update a piece of code, either in their browsers, or in the tech (like “Chrome) upon which browsers run. Sometimes however, some blithering idiot will push a daemon (server) update or a “WAN update” (think “Crowdstrike”) to Microsoft’s kernel (*NIX kernel patches usually aren’t push-installed. The owner/admin/user generally has to make the call first.)

My guess is: Either WordPress or the place that’s co-hosting or co-locating George’s sites installed an “update” or “upgrade” patch. The apostrophe will likely be an intermittent issue for you until the next patch.

The interesting thing is I use the apostrophe often, because I use contractions frequently, and I haven’t had anything puke. I suggest you try running your ‘nym for a couple days, with the apostrophe but using a lower case “L” — just to see what happens…

  4. Yo G Dog,

Needz to shout out poster who tipped off the Peptide – Ipamorelin/CJC1295, last week, as good source for HGH like results on Ure body.

Fantastic area of personal research – only way to get the stuff and experiment on Ureself “in-vivo”.

Found 3 companies that are highly regarded and only sell high quality scheisse.
Majority of the Peptides come in Crystalline form – so youse got to get some Reconstitution Fluid to mix in with crystal OG form. Seemed like you need to use Syringes with this form ??
Skin diving anything in my “Temple” is a No Go Area, so I opted for the Nasal Spray (Ipamorelin + Epithalon + CJC1295 NO DAC) for 1.1 mg per spray.
Perhaps you can make Ure own nasal spray with OG crystal form and reconstitution fluid – I couldnt find any readily available info – so being lazy and what notz, I just ordered the spray. Seems like C60 – the good scheisse that actually works costs buku bucks, dammit! Pure Rawz is where I found the nasal spray..Thx again G Dog, Simply the BEST..https://youtu.be/GC5E8ie2pdM?si=0HSgnW7IR6ztjFXB

    – oh how I loved walking up to stage, every year(6yrs), to this tune, in recognition for achieving Presidents Club..never gets old, always gives me a chill!

    • carbon 60 this is where I get mine, I have ordered 4 times from her, takes a while to get here from Hungary, I get at least 6 when I order if not 12
      https://owndoc.shop/Antiaging/

      way cheap,, but good quality
      C60 99.9%, solvent-free, 40 mg in 50 ml olive oil

      $ 12.50

  5. The ads recently on Facebook and other sites have been extremely tempting . I want to buy every sweatshirt and bag of beef sticks, as well as a dozen other things I don’t really need. I want all those pre-made dinner trays, those yummy looking bagels from New York, and freeze dried everything. The ads are especially triggering . Has anyone else noticed this lately?

A friend wants to gift me 3 mature chickens in exchange for a swing set that is no longer being used. I have been pricing feed and a coop. They will probably die before they lay enough eggs to break even. Are they worth the time and initial cost? Am I too lazy to keep them alive through the winter?

    • I came to the conclusion, unless you can get hand-me down equipment, you can’t do subsistence level agriculture economically.
The next issue is that small scale agriculture is brutally hard physical work.
I tried scaling up a few years back, and hurt myself. I have taken a moratorium while I rethink things.
Raised bed gardening looks attractive. It’s the building that discourages me.
I like eggs and chickens, but I can’t suffer their feathers.
Still thinking about it. Meanwhile, I eat cheap on the week days, splurge a bit weekends, and keep up my tractor.

    • “Mature chickens”? How mature? Their peak production lasts about 2 years, then tapers off to near zilch around 4 – 5 years, but they’re still eating the same amount of food. That’s why they often go to freezer camp when they’re about 3 years old.

Are they worth the time and initial cost? Only you can answer that. They can be entertaining, even endearing at times, frustrating at other times.

I usually recommend that you decide how many eggs you need daily, then buy three times that many pullets (hens). If you buy day-old chicks (mail order, delivered by US Postal Service or in person at a farm supply store), it will be about 5 months before they lay the first egg. Depending on your local weather, they may survive the winter under your back porch if you have a good fence to keep predators (skunks, ‘possums, raccoons, snakes, neighbor’s dogs, etc.) out and the chickens in.

    • I’ve had chickens for over 15 years. Personally I feel that the expense is worth it, BUT mature chickens molt in the fall. You will not see any eggs from October to March.

    • Temu has a couple passable turnkey coops in the $140-$170 range.

With that said, I would try really hard to build one:

Use round posts for the corners, not 4x4s. They’re stronger, cheaper, and not subject to twisting. Honestly I’d use these because they’re cheaper, yet.:

      https://www.lowes.com/pd/Severe-Weather-Actual-3-in-x-4-in-x-8-ft-Pressure-Treated-Landscape-Timber/1000106437

Use STEEL “hardware cloth” in 1/2″ or 3/4″ squares, not chicken wire, as fencing. The hardware cloth is a hundred times stronger and likes T-posts a lot better. It’s all going to be Chinese, and Temu has a much better price than any B&M store. You’ll have to look though. There are probably 70 vendors selling hardware cloth on Temu and the prices will vary widely.

I would use scrap wood (not plywood or chipboard) or wood salvaged from pallets to build the coop itself. It’s basically a box with a shelf on one side, with laying boxes on the shelf and a roof to keep things reasonably dry. It has to either be made so you can open or remove the roof, or with little doors in the laying side, one by each “nest” (my recommendation) so you can retrieve the eggs from outside (unless you want to build a coop that’s big enough to walk into.) The coop should have a porous floor so chicken crap passes through, and you should have a pan upon which it is collected. Chickens are fragrant creatures. Collecting the droppings (and the flies that’ll be attracted, and die) helps with the odor, and will provide you with the highest-quality organic fertilizer available (provided you haven’t pumped the chickens full of GM stuff and antibiotics.

Use a minimum 10″ hole and fill/pack around the posts with walnut-sized gravel (not concrete) to install the posts.

Also, either bury the fence wire a few inches deep or line the fencerow with that same gravel (or both.) You are not building a chicken coop to imprison the chickens, you’re building it to keep the chickens alive, so your construction consideration is to keep varmints away. The sides should be 6′ high (which is why I pointed you toward 8′ posts) and it should have a “ceiling” that’s also made of fence wire (chicken wire is actually good, here. The “ceiling” keeps birds of prey away.) The fencing wires should all be stitched together. I use fine, tough stainless steel wire — tie wire
      ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JWNHFXB )
is cheaper (a 3.5lb roll is about $6 from my local farm store), and it is something every homeowner or prepper should have laying around.

3 good layers (laying hens) will provide eggs for a couple, for 10mos out of the year. 4 layers will make more eggs than you can comfortable eat. A dozen will let you sell “all natural” eggs (provided you use natural feed) to a dozen of your neighbors. Fresh, unwashed eggs will keep for months at room temperature – longer if they’re water-glassed.

If you’re honestly thinking about doing this, read a little, and spend a couple hours on YouTube looking at the coops others have built. Watch a few episodes of the TV show “Homestead Rescue,” then decide…

    • +++ ALSO +++

LITTLE KNOWN TRICK: Wood fencing shrinks with age. If you install a fencepost in concrete, in two years it will be loose, and will eventually bust up the concrete (especially if you live in an area where the ground is subject to freezing.) Install it surrounded by gravel instead. The gravel will shift as the post shrinks, keeping the post tight in the ground. Every few years you can top it off, as needed.

LITTLE-KNOWN SECRET: When you buy sand, gravel, topsoil, etc. virtually all of the expense is the delivery charge. If I buy 5yds of, say, driveway stone, it will allegedly cost me $85/yd plus a $125 delivery fee. HOWEVER, if I take my trailer to the quarry, they will sell me 5yds of driveway stone and fill my trailer for me, for $12.50/yd.

I know this because I did it last year.

There is a slight, but noticeable difference between $62.50 (plus sales tax and fuel to get to the quarry) and $550. There are times I’m not very bright, but even I noticed this difference. It told me I was actually paying about $470.00 for Clem to drive his shiny new Sterling dump truck to my house with a half-full box of stone, and he was selling me that stone after applying a huge retail markup to his cost of the stone.

    • My wife and I have kicked this idea around several times during the past decade or so. We haven’t taken the plunge, mainly because of objections to the alternatives to “running a rest home for retired laying hens”.

  6. “Nixon tried price controls in the 1970s and it was a total train wreck.”

The Black Swan for the Western general price level, if you will is China.

BYD has the $10,000 EV but now Geely has a $6,000 EV. In the luxury segment a nice Geely, Galaxy E5 SUV starts at $15,750.

Compare to Ford’s Mach-E starting at $41,990 or GM’s Equinox EV starting at around $43,000. The Geely Galaxy is going after the the Tesla Model Y that starts at $44,630. 15k Vs 44k. Bye Felicia.

The U.S. still has the EV or Data Centers and A.I. power problem to overcome while China cranks out power plants.

New million-kilometre 50-year Geely battery headed for Australia in 2025 Galaxy E5

“The Geely Galaxy E5 SUV is a Tesla Model Y fighter that makes its debut with the new Short Blade battery in August. It will initially be available as either a 49.5Kwh or 60.2kWh power packs, which will provide the E5 with a range of 440km and 530km under the more lenient Chinese CLTC test regime.”

  7. The question with the coffee ill effects is: ” Is it the caffeine, or is it some other component “?
My new cycling habit has dropped my weight about 15 – 20 pounds in the last year-and -a-half. No dieting was involved, just lifestyle modification. I have also clamped down on starches and carb snacks a bit, which again, is lifestyle modification, not a reducing diet. With a little luck, I should drop 10 – 15 more pounds by next summer. The trick is to not to gain it back during the holiday season. Last year I pedaled enough during the cool weather months to not backslide. In reviewing my history of weight versus personal habit, the years in which I cycled regularly were the years my weight was under tighter control. I try to do four miles any day which it is fit to ride. With the heat running 100 F mid-afternoon, I have still cycled more at dusk than I would have expected this year, but not every day. My goal is to keep up a 1000 mi a year or so pace.
My blood pressure was the best it has been in a doctor’s office in 30 years recently (admittedly with meds, but no changes).
So, back to the coffee. I only drink decaf on weekends. I might spike the unleaded with a half of cup of ethyl no more than once a week if I hit a place with a coffee bar. Likewise, I limit myself to no more than one cup of full strength tea in the morning, and that might typically only be a couple of times a week. I normally drink water at restaurants, with weekend decaf for breakfast on weekends. With me telecommuting, getting out for breakfast or lunch on weekdays might happen once a week. Maybe an evening snack out once a week on weekdays. I am mostly a two meal + snack person.
So, is my improved BP due to exercise, reduced caffeine intake, or something else? The answer is, an unequivocal “Yes”.
There are a number of nutritional avenues to explore for improving heart rhythm, but dropping the caffeine is probably the first step. I haven’t missed the morning caffeine dosing since my body adjusted to the improved diet. EKG’s have been less contentious, I might add.

  8. Dimitry Medvedev, Russia’s former president and prime minister, has publicly said that Russia will seek to occupy “remaining Ukrainian lands” even if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agrees to the Kremlin’s most recent conditions for peace.

Medvedev, now deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, “reaffirmed that Russia would not accept or uphold any negotiated peace settlements with Kyiv short of Ukrainian capitulation, the destruction of the entire Ukrainian state, and the full occupation of Ukraine.”

G.A.STEWART: Why Russia Will Take All Of Ukraine

    https://theageofdesolation.com/nostradamus/2022/01/24/why-russia-will-take-all-of-ukraine/

    • I’m fine with that if it will stop our insane wastage of resources going to eastern Europe and the Middle East!

Fix our forces and keep them that way.

    • Can’t read it. “too many re-directs.”
Sorry. I’ve tried everything I know.
      73

    • …just a thought–meant to be helpful to us both.
Is it possible to make a NEW reference to an older report referenced in George’s pages, with password-free, OR with a new (and maybe less complex to type error-free) password? I’m all out of things to try — I’ve done all the “did-ja-tries…”

      • G.A. STEWART: Recently, I have been getting more emails about the infamous WordPress Password Problem, and I finally encountered it myself.

This weekend, I just finished cold building two desktop computers, one with a Windows 10 OS and the other with a Windows 11 OS. When I brought them online, I went to this website and the passwords failed on both machines, exactly as described by readers.

I then went into the browser security tab of Edge on one machine and Chrome on the other, and cleared the cache and enabled Third Party cookies. That worked on both machines.

Regular Readers will note that I have disabled the password requirement for Protected Posts going back a few months; eventually, I will most likely do that for all of them, but it is a tedious manual process. The WordPress Password Problem just has a very low priority in my life right now. It was just easier to turn off.

        https://theageofdesolation.com/nostradamus/2024/08/04/calling-it-exactly/

        • thank you that is appreciated more than you will ever know.. I will go back and read some of the posts that I have been dying to read.. couldn’t get in there for love nor money

    • Russia will take all of Ukraine because people like Lindsey Graham and Mannie Macron insist on making Ukraine a NATO state, which leaves Russia no choice.

  9. Inflation is still well above the Federal Reserves target rate of 2% [ 2 to 2.5% ] “2% is not negotiable.” [ Fed Chair Powell. ]
So.., what happens to the Federal Reserve’s credibility if they decide to cut the interest rate in September? With inflation hanging on to 3 to 3.1%
What would a rate cut say., what message would it convey about their policies, decision making, reputation and credibility ? Not just to us, or Wall Street, but to the world? How much damage would it cause? Or, in the exuberance, would it cause any damage?
“I see inflation down to the 2 % level by this time next year.” Fed chair Powell yesterday. That is a pretty bold statement.., and a prediction I would not want to put my name on.
I was just wondering. When you have been so adamant and stead-fast with your monetary policies, statements and actions – but then change horses in the middle of the stream – what will that tell Wall Street, bankers, brokerage houses, the government and investors about their credibility? ., and reliability ?
To me ? Politics be damned.., go with the data. And the data says, ‘do not cut’., not yet.

    • (“I see inflation down to the 2 % level by this time next year.” Fed chair Powell yesterday.”)

dam..I need to smoke some of what that boys smoken lol lol..
maybe the perv..loaned him some good crack OTFLMAO
unless of course he was thinking down to 2% a month increase

        • Yeah, about that.

Cammy is threatening to price-control food.

Grocery stores’ profit margin is typically about 2.1%.

Profits were down to 1.7-1.9% by July of 2020.

          Profits are now 1.3%

They can’t go any lower, or Kroger, Albertsons, Food Lion, and the others won’t survive.

“Food” is like everything else. If producers are forced to sell at a loss, they will stop producing. They can’t be allowed to stop producing, so at that point the government will either nationalize them into Zimbabwe, or subsidize producers (and processors, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers) with our tax dollars, thus creating another “hidden tax.”

        • (“Cammy is threatening to price-control food.”)

?????? How can they price control anything .. seriously.. think about the reverse pyramid…
          and the Cloward Piven effect..
Something goes up.. but wages don’t you either quit using something or do without.. food is usually the first thing in a recession or depression that one cuts back on people want to keep their quality of living intact so they cut back on what is flexible.. food.. when it gets to bad.. well they need food so they start replacing the extras that gave them the quality of life they were use to and buy the food…. like employees and wages.. your brick and mortar expenses are constants.. you have to have those.. don’t pay the power company they shut that stuff off.. so you cut employees hours.. the electric went up wasn’t much like ten dollars.. everyone lost an hour a day to compensate..
the severe damage that has been done by this one administration is so bad.. I actually can’t see how they can reverse it at this time..especially after adding millions of illegals to the situation… But they must know something I don’t.. not one of those in political positions has made any moves to get their family to safety.. or themselves.. they still work a few days and go on their fact finding missions to exotic places.. when history is chock full of examples how bad it could erode..

  11. Real Estate Commission Date is TODAY!!

From this day forward the BUYER has to pay their agent for their “services”.

The chaos this is going to cause in the residential real estate market is going to take some time to sort out since who wants to be on the hook when they are buying a house for an extra 3% of the purchase price, PAID IN CASH, at the time of the closing?

I am sure things will sort themselves out in the end … but at least initially things are going to be interesting. Showings may be restricted UNLESS you sign an agreement as you walk in the door to PAY the listing broker the other 3% of the fee if you are not already a “client” (sucker) of another broker.

Yep … I am one of those who think most residential real estate brokers are LEACHES. (yes some work hard, but others hardly work for the large fees they collect)

  12. Coffee, caffeine. I have one cup in the morning. I’m surprised I survived 40 years of television work, where I always had a cupful ‘at hand’ all day long. High awareness and nerve jitters are a job requirement when split-second timing is a job skill. Retirement has been a blessing there. Now when I get the afternoon slump, I have a Mountain Dew soda… a trick I learned from a nephew. Caffeine and sugar, just like coffee, but damn refreshing in the afternoon heat. And with tropic heat and arthritis onset I have learned to FORCE myself to drink more water. Caffeine is a diuretic, so after the coffee… or Dew…. Comes the chugging of replacement water. Now instead of a coffee cup following me around all day, it is the water bottle. I think of it as the body lubricant. It helps flush arthritis crap out of the joints. I don’t normally drink alcohol, but I’m very aware of dehydration effects now. I feel the onset of the headache and I run for the water bottle and chug as much as I can.

  13. My careful analysis now is:

    …after many month’s due consideration, I think
Cho-By-Den sold America out to China. Nothing better explains all the observed phenomena.

A lot has been building for ages to make that even possible — decades of crappy education, and chasing stupid fashions and trendy trends in high-sounding and preachy educational bullshit theory, leaving generations unable to clearly think, write, or calculate — and stunningly ill-informed. And a societally ignorant, sick, and self-obsessed Trogolodyte pop-population.

This is where the ineffectual crappification of everything got started — and is now total, at all levels in everything.

…and I believe we are now Officially Cooked.

    Sorry.

  14. I just read this article about teachers quitting in droves due to “Gen Alpha” kids being unteachable. It what is presented here is anywhere near true, our society is truly doomed.

Imagine bringing back the draft and sending these kids to Basic Training in a few years.

    • Back 715 years ago, when I was in Army Basic Training, we were told there was an alternative to failing at Basic:

      Leavenworth — making small rocks.

That WAS the Safe Space Alternative…

    • Talk about indoctrination – if you think the school systems are pathetic wait until these commies get a hold of these kids in boot camp – they’ll kill any civilian they are ordered to …..

    • My grand daughter.. the school her four children went to.. is all refugees.. the teachers are no longer allowed to question their lifestyles and make demands .. the bullying is horrendous cultures collided with the laws and cultures of their homelands.. so parents started their own school each family member has to work a half day a week to keep their child in the school.. churches are forming their own schools to.. same reason.. teachers are not allowed to teach.. cities.. the schools look like maximum security prisons.. not a place to learn.. its our federal guidelines..

  15. The only thing constant is change no matter how much money, threats, and entitlements the so-called government Specialists huff and puff, the human race has and still is using up the world resources at an unsustainable rate and overpopulation, Generally Mother Nature cures the world’s problems it will be interesting how the outcome of this ends up, I suspect wars and famine will play a dominate part of the solution

  16. Folks,
The Ukraine international anti-Putin battalion Freedom of Russia apparently creating mayhem in Kursk against Mr. Putin, has a public website in the Russian language.
    https://legionliberty.army/

The site includes a ‘give to their cause’ page requesting “Blessed charitable contributions”. The page offers 5 different crypto-currency wallet options along with 1 fiat currency choice listing an IBAN account. The latter account with the Ukraine country code points to an account at Kyiv-based Sense Bank formerly known as Alpha-Bank. The bank was nationalized last summer against IMF advice from its multi-billionaire Ukrainian-Russian oligarch and Israeli citizen main shareholder, Mr. Mikhail Fridman.

One understands his London abode adjacent to Hampstead Heath, Athlone House and a former training centre of the RAF in WW2, remains under direction of his Isle of Man trust for the remaining duration of the Special Military Operation. His next door neighbor at Beechwood House likewise is operating under care of a trust for Uzbeki multi-billionaire Alisher Usmanov who had apparently according to Wikipedia purchased the humble abode some years past from the Emir of Qatar.

  17. here is another depression dish..

    1 pound of bacon
    1 smoked sausage
    1 onion
potatoes.. ( you decide I like potatoes )
    1 green pepper
    4 cloves of garlic
    1/2 cup of chicken broth
    1 tbsp tones spaghetti spice
    2 or 3 mushrooms sliced
1/2 stick of butter or oil
some dill weed or some oregano you decide on the greenery. you can use chopped spinach or dandelion leaves.. chopped fine..
    1/2 cup cheese..
    2 or three eggs
fry up the chopped onion till it first starts to get translucent..then toss in the bacon fry that up till it starts to get done then the green pepper stir that with the chicken broth as it gets tender in cows the sliced mushrooms. slice the hot dog or sausage into coins.. toss those in ..let this simmer while the potatoes are cooking..
once done let the potatoes cool..
then mash them mixing in the eggs mix it up.. at this point you add your spice the dill or dandelion mix that into the potatoes.. ( you can put a little milk to) put a layer of the potato mix on the bottom pour the meat mix in the center then a layer of the potatoes on top… bake for 1/2 hour at 350 degrees.. pull it out then put the cheese on top and bake another 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to brown.. ( as a depression meal you may not have a pound of bacon .. so hamburger spam will work as the bacon.. if its to salty then slice it boil it in water this will remove some of the salt texture..) hamburger a simple beef gravy or cream of whatever soup..or tomato soup..will do..
