Well, after bloodshed was more like it in the markets today.  Let me show you what I mean.  Look at the lower right side of this:

If you sdquint just so, you can see a faint “candle” (lighter blue” – which is where this market could still rally ahead of Easter, but a break below the previous low would spell disaster.

Finally got a little rain through East Texas today.  So the County lifted the Burn Ban.  Which means the recycling barrel is now empty and Amazon is relying on people like us to keep China busy.  No, wait, um…

The website logo has gone mysteriously missing – out of the blue just wouldn’t load this afternoon, so I trashed it for now and back to plain text at the top of the page.  You’re welcome to vote on “the look” without fancy graphics. Trade-off is it makes the sitge look less polished but the Google Pagespeed load time is much faster – so in computers, like life, style comes at a price.

  2. An after action being MercD report.

    New igniter control on Oil Burner (Emg heat backup). $630 – ouch.

    9 year old heat pump is kaput. A trane – couldn’t get compressor to run aft replacing many parts.
    New heat pump(Carrier) is very similar to mini splits. This bad boy runs-heats till outside temps reach Zero..then oil burner kicks on. Get this the new refrigerant lines Suck- so cheap you just look at em and they will kink. So kept 9 yr old lines in place and flushed em clean. Energy use drops with new unit- and at Zero degrees , not much oil is gonna burn for heat.

    Only problem with Mercking – I got no more ass cheeks left, gone..down to butt bone. $8k out of pocket will do that -but hey got incentives from Carrier to clear out equipment inventory just prior to A/C season..85 tomorrow..

    • At this point I’m grateful that my hip surgery is scheduled for AFTER Mercury resumes forward motion. My cheeks are handy for sitting on, and I would hate to lose them! :-)

    The old model for the SPX is interpolated in the new model( for the European STOXX). The macroeconomic system is on day 14 of a SPX interpolated 3rd fractal 20 day SPX subseries: (from 11 March 2025) 3 days down-going/ 7 days /peak day 4 of current 6 of 8 days/4-5 days. Next Monday and Tuesday should be significant down days, with thereafter an initial bounce and a lower low on day 4 or day 5. The good news is that there should a significant bounce before Easter 20 April 2025 in the initial phase(s) of the last 20 day (STOXX and SPX) fractal.

    • When do you project the index lows for the calendar year to manifest ? Typically, once the knee jerk investment reactions take over, the Elliott timing appears to be more accurate to my eye.
      I’m wondering if the influx of AI trading algorithms isn’t going to influence trading patterns to be more Elliot-like, and less inhuman. Elliot waves are the composite of human knee-jerks; not immutable physical laws.
