Well.. the little woman was watching network news this morning.. they did a street interview ..( In california and NYC) asking how business was.. in california and NYC they have phenominal success under the Biden Harris administration money flowing in faster than ever.. and although prices have gone up a few cents.. nothing like what the radical right is saying.. everyone loves Kamala and Joe.. couldn’t see anyone else running the country.. they love having the illegals there.. can’t see what the to do is about.. money manners and its all gravy. Crime is on the drop since this began.. it was amazing.. and the wife says see.. your looking at this all wrong.. they are doing wonderful…the countries never been better..

    • Ask her just how many kids from NYC and CA are doing the “Heavy Lifting” of actually risking their lives so as keep the US as the top dog in the world so those in NYC and CA can make oodles of money off of those in “Fly Over Country”?

      The military, particularly Combat Arms, is NOT something that kids from NYC or CA (or the “Elite” Universities) go into even for a short 4 year stint. It is something they in fact AVOID like the plague

    • 100% correct…and since the Supreme Court ruling on homeless clean sweeps was ruled in the favor of clean sweeps, which Newsom and other Governors on both sides pushed, the streets of San Francisco and other cities are much cleaner, save a few stragglers. But, I never had a problem here. If you look around, the past 4 years has seen so much growth in the Bay Area it is almost unrecognizable, in a great way. Over 200 million sq ft of new office space for Bio-tech, AI, Chips, and the expansion of META, Google, Apple, Tesla engineering, as well as new housing, tourist attractions, brand new neighborhoods etc. is amazing. There’s a lot to celebrate here with the NBA All Star game in SF this season, the Super Bowl in the Bay Area next year. L.A is hosting the Olympics in 2028 amongst other things. We are not anywhere close to the doom narrative people say on conservative news and it’s still the most beautiful place to live on planet Earth.

        we know there are poorer neighborhoods.. its what you see and experience in yours that you mentally associate as normal.. that’s where the kids today are being hurt.. just like my kids. they have only seen good times and easy credit.
        its like getting five hours of overtime a week..or a standard bonus..if it is a regular experience you subconsciously budget it as regular.. people during the dirty thirties and the Weimar depression woke up one morning to nothing..

        • I think what people are missing here is that APEC chose San Francisco for a reason. If it was such a hellscape, then why would they choose to have their summit here? Did we clean up for APEC? Of course, just like my wife and I clean up before we have guests over to our house. That’s why the Super Bowl, NBA ALL-Star game and Salesforce chose to bring Dreamforce back to the city. It’s beautiful. And as for those numbers of vacant office buildings…Our own technology, Zoom) based here in the Bay Area had unforeseen consequences. Zoom was successful during COVID, but the mandate is now out to return back to offices, so whatever news that was posted about office vacancies is old news. Check back with me at the end of this quarter when they run those numbers again. You will see vacancies decline tremendously. Believe me, the traffic, despite increasing the capacity of our highways by over 30% the past 4 years, has gotten pretty bad again. Nothing to see here. But you are all welcome to come here and check it out for yourselves. It’s more beautiful here than it ever has been and I have been here over 26 years now. .

    • I woke up listening to NPR last weekend, one five or ten minute segment was based on the assumption that all the election jokes currently were about Trump. They were discussing what that was the case and wondering why there was no humor about Harris/Walz.

      It was like being in another world. There are more jokes an memes around about Harris/Walz than Trump!!

      Is there a name for that kind of semi subtle propaganda? I mean they just start with some incorrect assumption and discuss it as if it were true. I guess people might listen to it and be convinced it is sort of true because they are supposedly questioning it. Or something like that.

          People in the FTDX10 group didn’t seem to know this, so here goes:

          You can listen to AM radio using USB or LSB on your ham receiver. You can then use your band controls/CW tone to vary the pitch of the voice on the AM signal to suit your old ears. It can make a big hearing difference.

          AND, you sort of get the benefit of the patented old Sony “SYNC” control for AM; ie it supplies a manufactured constant carrier.

          So there. I will try to sleep well next to my constant bedtime companion, my sweet Icom R75 receiver. It does have the Kiwa AM sync mod, so I can switch between that and my USB/LSB “sync” simulator.

          And believe it or not, the R75 talks to me at night. I just press one of its delicate little buttons and it whispers softly in English the signal strength, mode, frequency, and GMT time.

    A few months ago statistics were mentioned in one of the reports. The conclusion I made was huge samplings aren’t required. Consider the birthday paradox:

      There are many legacy papers/sources frm US Govt/AirFarce explaining all of the above, Im too lazy to go and collect it/links to the information. But they are not that difficult to track down if you are so inclined. hellthere is even a working graph for how to tell difference from contrail and Chemtrail. Though we have not had Water cooled jet engines in ages, G-eniuses still insist on such illusion.

        The contrails were perhaps 2000 feet across (in cross-sectional width), the chemtrails were between 4-5 miles across (assuming 35,000ft) — both from vapor trails (m/l) a hundred feet wide…

    First of all, “Trump” didn’t send “Putin” anything. The CDC sent its Russian counterpart the data and they did it because, well, scientists, when presented with an interesting or challenging problem, quickly become apolitical, because solving for x is more-important to their logical mind than anything as silly as politics or diplomacy.

    WE periodically hear about the U.S. sending “bad bugs” to Iraq, to kickstart their bioweapons program. Biolabs in the U.S. absolutely did do this. We also sent them to the USSR, the ChiComs, North Korea, Thailand, and every other nation on the planet which had an agricultural biolab. We did this so all these places would send us the “bad bugs” that were native to, or had genetically morphed into variants that a bio-researcher would need to consider, if a vaccine were to be developed which would eliminate, say anthrax or swine flu.

    It is a free flow and exchange of ideas and information — something no longer permitted in our current fascicom political climate. THAT (and the fact Cammy is losing badly) are why it is a “big deal.”

    N.B. I claim ownership of the term “fascicom.” I believe it is a better, and more-accurate descriptive than “socialist” for the current political bent of the American political party known as “Democratic” or “Democrat.” Y’all feel free to use the shit out of it — just remember from whence it came…

      Ray, I would only add the word “good” scientists. Sadly, there are “bad” scientists. Nothing changed my scientific mind about this as much as COVID. Good scientists were seeking the truth while bad scientists were telling the masses to shut up and do what we were told by our political leaders. No lab leaks here. Move along.

      I see the same thing now with climate change. Sadly, many scientists are no longer apolitical but have forsaken their calling for money and politics.
